as is usually the case, my querying of the oracle followed dreams that became too powerful and too specific to ignore. i have called them the Mystery Blonde dreams, and have had them for a few years now, though very recently the mystery seems to be peeling away somewhat.

some background: i met "her" (not a dream) almost a quarter-century ago. suffice to say, she made quite an impression on me. (yes, she's blonde.) as sometimes happens in life, though, the timing was not the best. ships passing in the night, bound for different lands. obviously, i never forgot her.

back to the dreams. in the most recent, i am walking and then turn around, prompted to do so by nothing more than a feeling. and there she is, having been following me. (or is simply there when i turn.) we make eye contact - the instant recognition(though there is now a streak of grey in her hair) - and the dream ends.

i then began the search. to see, first, if i could locate her. i did, and dropped a simple 'hello, remember me?" note on a classmates page. i have no idea how long she's had it up there, or whether she even checks it. but, it seemed, the least i can do. (and the most that i will do, given the fact she seems to be married.)

(these dreams, in fact, have shown the Mystery Blonde to be married, to a husband who acts, in the dreams anyway, to be tired of her. she's "old," etc.; and in the most recent he more or less hands off/tosses her to me. then i wake.)

so, i approach the oracle and inquire about the situation, how/whether to proceed. hexagram 31. suffice to say, after reading the initial and then subsequent interpretations, i'm...well...intrigued.

i feel also that the proper course is to let the classmates note, innocuous as it is, be the extent to which i proceed. (for that matter, a conservative, yielding approach - being open to what is and what is not - seems to me to be advised in the hexagram.)

i welcome any thoughts on this, of course, but have dropped this here also because of the sheer power of the hexagram when it came to me.

The dreams are romantic and special, and your vision of her situation may be a psychically correct one.

Getting 31, I think you should flirt shamelessly, what have got to lose?

I tried to find a youtube version of this very beautiful ballad, sung so sweetly, but it isnt there. Maybe you could send the lyrics to her in a note on classmates

The Kind Of Love You Never Recover From

I know a couple, she sits in a rocking chair
Working puzzles, He watches TV upstairs
She's got a secret she has never let out
A man she thinks he never knew about

She hasn't seen him in 30 years
The mention of his name does not bring on tears
If you ask her "Are there any regrets?"
She'll tell you 'no'
But she never forgets

CHORUS
It was the kind of love you never recover from
Even though she found another one
To take his place
She never will escape the truth
At times like this when the moon is right
When the air is foggy like it is tonight
She'll think about what might have been
If she had just held on to him

I know a man who has done it all
Sailed the oceans climbed the mountains of Nepal
He lives high up on the Avenue
With a beautiful wife, lovely children too

But there's a woman he still dreams about
Certain things he's learned to live without
If you ask him "Are there any regrets?"
He'll tell you 'no'
But he never forgets

CHORUS
It was the kind of love you never recover from
Even though he found another one
To take her place
He never will escape the truth
At times like this when the moon is right
When the air is foggy like it is tonight
He'll think about what might have been
If he had not let her
Slip away from him

BRIDGE
I read about a woman who said
She never regretted
Anything she'd ever done
Such arrogant words always seem to be spoken
By those who then die young

So here am I looking at you
Oh tell me what are we gonna do?
Am I destined to be your regret?
Are you that one I will never forget

Years from now will we curse the day
You let me let you walk away
Oh isn't this too dear a price to pay
For the freedom of going separate ways?

CHORUS
This is the kind of love you never recover from
Don't tell me I'm gonna find another one
To take your place
I never will escape the truth
At times like this when the moon is right
When the air is foggy like it is tonight
I'll think how sweet life could be
If you would stay with me
Oh stay with me

This is the kind of love you never recover from
Don't tell me I gonna find another one
To take your place
Try and face the truth
Let me hold you close tonight
The fog has lifted the moon is so bright
Think how sweet life could be
If you would stay with me
Oh stay with me

This is the kind of love you never recover from
This is the kind of love you never recover from

As you know how to contact her, certainly do so again, and even again until you get her engine running.

at the risk of appearing self-serving with this, not to mention throwing some non-oracle "stuff" into the mix, i thought that maybe a few folks might find some astrological aspects pertinent; i know i did after reading up on them.

i remember her birthday (don't know the time so can't check for conjunctions, etc.) and plugged it in. turns out:

her natal venus is in the same sign as my natal sun and mars (scorpio).
my natal venus is in the same sign as her natal sun (libra).
her natal mars matches my ascendant (cancer).
we both share mercury in libra.
(my moon in virgo, hers capricorn.)
i turn 48 in november, she is 47 next month.

as this has to do with (MUTUAL) ATTRACTION, these elements, like her, are hard to ignore. i don't know where this road will lead but i'm going to walk it. there is the "chemistry" the planets point to, which seems considerable, to say the least. part of what i kept bumping into is this notion of fatedness, or things SEEMING fated. and it is precisely that FEELING that i can't ignore and haven't, clearly, been able to forget. i don't know much about fate - grabbing that like a terrier is, for me, distracting - but i do know there's something at work here, regardless of any "end result."

this morning i closed my eyes and drew a tarot card after asking, "where will this go?" THE TOWER. not exactly indicative of things "lightening up." the text i found addressed, of course, the calamitous nature of the card but also included the notion of how such an event can strip from us that which no longer works, clearing away for new truth. i'm no tarot expert by any means but it resonates.

thanks for this space. again, i have added this because there probably are some "out there" who will have some understanding of the astrology aspects as they relate to the hexagram and ATTRACTION dynamics.

and thank you for the lyrics.

(willowfox, i like your spirit. i'm leaving a breadcrumb trail.)

christine lavin...a folk singer. the song is so pretty, the lyrics alone are nice, but the tune makes it hauntingly beautiful.

"where will this go?" THE TOWER.

(willowfox, i like your spirit. i'm leaving a breadcrumb trail.)

Tower also indicates some very big changes as well as surprises, so your situation as regards to her is going to change, as Tower exposes, and releases.
So what has been hidden up to date will be exposed, she will no longer be able to hide, so I think that you will finally meet her in the near future as your luck is in.

I prefer cherries to breadcrumbs.
