I wanted to know what I should focus on improving at this stage of my life...

I received hexagram 37 line 5 changing into hexagram 22

Does it mean to focus on creating a stable family life?

Any insights please? :bows:

How did you get the word stable into there?

Alfred Huang - "The firm and yielding associate with each other on terms of mutual love. A harmonious family life will bring good fortune." Hexagram 37 line 5

The only interpretation that made sense to me. I see it as finding a companion to create a harmonious family life. The firm I associate as male and the yielding as female. The others talk about a king in his castle..

I hope I'm not over analyzing this LOL

The image runs a little deeper than that- to the importance of authenticity in modeling our world. The king and his family are trying to find a balance between the required appearances (this is the Zhi Gua 22) and having a family founded on real affection. In doing this right they can set an example for the kingdom, for the larger family. It is implied that the king IS doing this right and hence the advice not to worry.

hmmm... I generally think the I Ching speaks with the inquirer as its subject. So with line 5 you might change the gender-specific things to make it clearer

"As a [queen] [she] approaches [her] family.
Fear not.
Good fortune."

The change you have is The Family > Standing Together > Grace

If you've been estranged from members of your family, or haven't talked to them in a while, then now is the time, and you shouldn't fear. This will lead to closer bonds.

Yet Hex 22 warns that you should not get wrapped up in all their problems.

Actually surprisingly this very much applies to me I really miss my parents and sister and relatives everyone who cares about me lives abroad and I rarely see them...no one cares about me where I am now.

Long yi I do wear low cut dresses and and tops and my eyes are my best feature that is too much!! LOL And I am in the process of making plans to put my house in order..wow!
