Hexagram 39.1.2.3.4.5 to 54

I asked the I Ching about a path I've been trying to take in my career and I got 39.1.2.3.4.5 to 54. The lines seem to contradict each other, but I have a feeling that the message is "try with all your strength and you will succeed... eventually". What do you think about it?

Five changing lines in difficult 39, resulting in second-best 54. What was your question exactly?
