My first novel has just been published. I wondered whether it'd be a success, receiving good reviews from people and who knows, maybe from the literary reviewers. I got hexagram 48 unchanged. What does it mean related to my question?

Thank you in advance,

Depends on that the villagers know where the well is...

- the village moves but the well stays. People probably talks when meeting at the well.

You'll have to make focus on your novel, I guess.

Kerson and Rosemary Huang on the Judgement:

Hi! Congrats on publication!

The question "Will my book be a success?" is kind of a difficult one for Yi to answer-- and I think he threw it right back at you by giving you 48 unchanging, a hexagram that asks you to contemplate what "success" means. 48 is about resources, wells (of knowledge? of hope?), potential, etc. It's definite not a "bad" omen for the book! But it also probably isn't an answer to the question you really had in your mind, if you were thinking of financial success, popularity, etc.

On the other hand, perhaps it is showing you that the book will be a "well" for you to draw from and get sustenance. Hard to say. I think it's talking about your talents and what you do with them.

Here's a "well" of 48 unchanging experiences for you to draw from: http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/frie...eriences-with-Unchanging-Castings-Hexagram-48

Maybe in the future ask something like, "Can you give me an image of how my book will be received by readers" or "What will be the outcome of publication for the book?". Something along those lines rather than a hard yes/no.

Also, just as an aside, does water of any kind (ocean, lake, characters' names, etc.) play any part in the book? Sometimes Yi is just very literal.
