hexagram 51.1.5 to 45 - reconnect + hexagram 11 - future

Dear online-clarity peeps,

I hope you can help me with the following two readings.

I recently met a guy through online dating and we saw each other just a few times, I felt we had a beautiful and special connection. Tragically, my mother died last week, just three months after my dad’s passing, and since then he went very quiet and I feel that all of a sudden he is very disconnected. I told him that I wanted to see him, but he replied it was too soon and mentioned that he had a lot of deaths in his family, and this has made him not very empathic towards other people’s loss.

I asked Yi how I could reconnect to him and the reply was: 51.1.5 to 45

I believe 51 Shock refers to the over emotional situation following my mother’s death and which might have arisen in him deep seated emotions from his past, and which he’s not willing/interested in addressing. Also, we met through a very ‘light’ online dating site (I don’t think he’s interested in a relationship, besides he’s a young bachelor and I’m an older woman with two kids), so it could also just be that he just wanted to have fun and is not interested in dealing with my loss.

I think hexagram 45 gathering is more connected to me and how to find my centre in the midst of all this loss and sadness.

I then asked Yi if we have a future and the reply was 11 Flow.

This seems to me a very positive answer, as I read it as if there is the potential of a deep soul and body connection that goes beyond our age difference and is actually meant to be explored and fulfilled.

I guess my main question is whether I’m reading these answers correctly and also what I should take from my question about reconnection - is there anything there that suggests how I need to behave? Shall I be present and write to him or shall I go quiet for a while and let him be ready in his own time?

Everything has a future. 11 calls for a reversing of the way things have been playing out and requires a recognition of the issues on the table and a willingness for addressing them in a way that allows them to be worked through. How things flow will very much depend on the capability and wisdom that is brought into the future by each of you.

It is important to remember that 11 points towards good fortune yet makes no reference to what that good fortune may look like.

51 generally stirs things up in a way that is unexpected and this can lead to a planting of a seed or new growth, hence fertilising.

I don’t like his saying that a lot of deaths in his family make him not very empathetic to others’ losses.

That said, my interpretation of your received oracle is that you need to take care of you, your grief, your fears first.

Then you’ll be in a stronger position to reconnect with him when the time is right. And forge a potential future with him. That’s what I read, especially in 51 line 5.
