Hexagram 6.5.6>40 - Contradiction

Hi,

I am not sure if this post should be in exploring divination or here. Anyway, I simply asked what I needed to know today.
The background is my business is picking up after a slow start to the year. I have quite a number of quotes out there and have finished a new course that is going to be very helpful.

Line 5 in business is a great reading but then I saw line 6 and thought WTF? I then thought about it. Latley I have been having issues with drinking too much again. My body is not processing the booze very well. Takes me days to get over it and seems like every single time I drink I either say something wrong or post something wrong. So I am doing my best to obstain for 12 months.

I think line 6 was a warning that as soon as you win, you could lose. Not that it was going to happen but wake up type thing.

To be sure I asked the Yi about my last reading and received 5.1.3>29.
Interesting, it was what I thought, not that I am even consiously aware that I am in a very vulnerable position.
I need to be highly aware of this even though I am winning in business at the moment on the surface.
Basically, stay in control at all times or you could mess it up and set yourself way back in a matter of moments.

Another interesting fact is that 6.5.6 leads to 40 which is a great answer in business. I think for sure line 6 is a warning in this answer. On the other hand 5.1.3 leads to true danger.

I see the cast as "contending" for what you want, it's promising (6.5), but know it's limits, don't expect too much (6.6). What belongs to you will be yours. Let the rest be (40). You have both 6.5 and 6.6 not just the latter.

I can read 6.6 also as being careful about managing one's gains (money) so as not losing it too easily.

5.1.3>29: I see this one as the I Ching encouraging you to be a bit patient (5) in emotional (29) times. 5.1 is about waiting in outskirts and 5.3 warns about resting in a muddy place where robbers come. Maybe the mud is an overemotional reaction to the last query??

That is very accurate, I did the reading in the morning, and later in the day I looked at the pipeline and saw there is a reasonable amount of money coming. However, as usual it prob going to take the rest of the month to get it all in. We have to move here, the landlord wants the property back for whatever reason. Meaning, I want the money all in and I want it now.

The fact of being careful with what is coming is also highly accurate. The reply on the second reading, I think again is spot on, I was emotional, the text mentions the word "stripped" I should know after all these years doing working within the oracle not to freak out.

The answer I received once the day is over was 60 Unchanging, What do I need to know about my pipeline? This confirms your observations. Well done Marybluesky. I love the name, sounds like a great name for a band.

I believe your reading was more accurate than mine, although mine has elements of truth as well.

There is a proverb about being able to make money but keeping it is a different thing. Maybe thats all the Yi was saying.

I really like that music, its the core of most modern music, John Lee Hooker comes to mind. Blind Willy Johnson, his stuff is amazing its from the late 1920's I think. I was in the music industry for around 15 years until the band broke up. This was in the late 80's & 90's.
