I am wondering about a male friend of mine. Our relationship is very good, close, but purely platonic. However, I sometimes wonder if he might be interested in another kind of relationship. I think I might be.

What is his attitude toward having a romantic relationship with me?

I interpret this as indicating that he is interested in that. In fact, has he made it a goal? I find it hard to read any other way.

The power of Collective Force

For unchanging hexagrams I often refer to The Iching Workbook, by the mysterious R.L. Wing. 7 is called Collective Force, which seems more comprehensive than The Army. Here's what Wing says:

"The Collective Force in its static form (unchanging) becomes a plateau in your development. Before you can continue to progress you must acquaint yourself with the goals of humanity, for they, in fact, affect your own aims. The profound and mysterious K'AN in the lower trigram of human affairs, is affecting the course of cosmic affairs in the upper trigram, K'UN, responsiveness and receptivity. Be open now and generous toward the feelings and needs of others. In this way you align yourself with humanity and increase your energies and resources."

This feels very encouraging. At this time, if you are open and generous toward your friend, your close relationship may increase. No hurry, and no guarantees, but I would think you can spend time getting to know each other better. You will see how friend responds if you create an opening. And you will also see how more closeness actually feels to you…..Take your time and enjoy your relationship, which should be fine whether or not friend evolves into THE ONE.
