Guys, how do I treat hexagrams 8.2.4 to 12 as an advice? I currently live in a tiny appartment with my son and my mum and am desperate to move to something bigger but I cannot get more mortgage at the moment due to my low wages (Im currently trying to sell the appartment). I've asked "how can I make it possible to move to a bigger house?". How does hexagram 12 work as a piece of advice? Has anyone got any experience with this combination? Many thanks, BX

I've asked "how can I make it possible to move to a bigger house?". 8.2,4 > 12

Unfortunately the advice is probably not what you want to hear right now but it is basically saying make sure that you stay on good terms with mother, and your son as you are going to have to put up with the lack of space for a while longer.
The quest for a bigger place is not a realistic dream at the moment, you are going to have to grin and bear the way things are at the moment, so stay calm as nothing is going to change. Also, becareful about selling the apartment, becareful not to accept some silly price, especially if you have no other place in view. Renting another place could be financially draining, and even if you could borrow more money, it warns you not to.

Hi Veronica

The oracle is pointing out to you through Hex 12 that you are in a difficult position right now. It is a place where you do not want to be, however there is some good advice in the reading if you can see it.

I've asked "how can I make it possible to move to a bigger house?". 8.2,4 > 12

So to make it possible to move to a bigger house you can -
Hex 8 has a way of saying step back from how you are feeling now - try to see a bigger picture. If you are feeling desperate then indeed you will find that you are desperate, in all sorts of ways. Sometimes when you want something too much you can drive a wedge between you and it.
Although as WF says things have become stuck for you, it may not be that you have "to grin and bear it" - Perhaps by being accepting of your situation (8.2), and living with what you are feeling without being too rash or hard on yourself and those around you (8.4) then you will, with time, find it possible to move to a better place.

Be well

Hi B :)

8.2.4 changes to 47; 8.4.6 changes to 12. Do you know which one you got?

You are right Hilary!

I got 8.4.6 to 12 and NOT 8.2.4! I think the fact remains the same though that I am in a difficult situation and better learn how to accept my current position (or grin and bear it) as moving to a bigger place is not possible at the moment so I will have to wait until it is (am I right?)

Yes, indeed you are, when bad times comes, you huddle together and keep close to home, when the good times come you can venture out outside and expand your horizons because it will be safe to do so.

Hex 12 is a time of stagnation but don't worry as millions are in the same boat as you, so just persevere because the storm will break eventually.

Since you got Line 4 (joining with others on the outside, perseverance brings good fortune) and Line 6 (the opportunity for joining with others does not last forever), have you considered sharing a house with others outside your immediate circle, as a way of achieving your aim?

Just a brainstorm....

Well, there is this house I fell in love with in Lincoln, which is 3 hours drive from London where I currently live, which is up for sale. I went there for a job interview, saw it and absolutely loved it. With a bit of luck and help from my mortgage advisor, if I sell my flat in London I can just about to afford to buy it but my ex said that it would be madness to move 3 hours drive with my son as it would make the visitations very difficult.

H12 is not the advice in this case, but is your current situation. You are at a standstill.
H8 is the advice, "Joining Together."

The interpretation of Lines 4 and 6 of H8 are very different, depending on where you look.
But in the WikiWing, Line 4 is about something outside your immediate circle: "The outside is the source of an alternative point of view. It relativises your own ideas/emotions, puts them in perspective."

Line 6 is a warning that the time is either passed for union, or a warning that you attached to the wrong group, with no purpose. From the Wikiwing, "Choices without purpose, a group without a goal, union without essence. Why are you doing this, again?"

In general, I agree it is not a hopeful reading for realizing your goal. But their may be something in grouping, joining together, that is beneficial for you, but that is outside your current thinking.

I feel this statement is quite incorrect as the lines 8.4,6 and Hex 12 are the advice, and not the situation. The question asked for advice and she was given hex 8 >12 which is therefore the advice, nothing more nothing less.

Many thanks Tiger, for your imput, I cannot really do much about the situation at the moment, I have received a low offer on my current flat but rejected it today (which is also in line with the advice here)... I'm going to let it be for a while and see what happens... Hopefully I will not have to wait too long! I have some other important decisions to make in my life so this one will just have to rest for a bit... Many thanks for your help.
