I am trying to pace public appearances, so that they are meaningful and (usually) connected with something new i've done; this would be more of a bragging about an award i got for an old work and i don't see point in that
Common sense is that you jump at every occasion of the kind though & also tv hosts and journalists don't really like it when you bypass them...
I think the idea in 7.5 is that whilst there are opportunities to be grasped, perhaps, strategy is needed, thoughtfulness, you can't just run with this. 7.3 often shows incompetence of some kind..either people in the role assigned are not competent,
I did skip this one that bothered me more (the time is short, the host is a "celeb", the rope can't possibly be long enough (((or one is carrying around old ideas that don't serve.
Overall I think it looks a good idea to skip this particularly if your gut feeling is leading you that way.
Absolutely! I am managing somehow to do what i am doing by keeping low profile and by not getting into personal wars; but there is big financial interest involved (not mine), rough people... and while in the beginning i had to turn a blind eye, i can't anymore, it would be totally dishonest. (AND going public won't change anything - i get regularly hex. 18 on the overall situation in my field and in the society in general, it's bad, everyone knows it - but it suits many people and according to Yi it will continue for quite some time. Before, i had tried to spread awareness of the awful consequences we as the society are having because of the corruption, but, to my dismay i realized it's a public knowledge and, except endless ranting and gossiping, very few would do anything concretely to bring about the change... most are afraid of it or simply got used to the situation (can full of warms) as it is. Meh. I had serious problems and basically decided to do my own thing, without getting entangled into the situation which i can't impact (again, all of the decisions are based on castings, to me this is too important to act on impulse.)In the well getting the water depends on the rope being long enough to reach the water, the jug not breaking and so on. Those lines in hex 7 don't promise a nice long drink at the well. I think this answer suggests a rethink.
I really feel relieved after having read this! Pheww!!! I am happy my feeling on what Yi says coincides with your respected opinion :bows:When you say this
I actually think you are enacting the advice in 7.5 here. You are trying to 'pace', you are thinking it through, you aren't just jumping at every opportunity. That seems the right way to go here. 7.5 suggests energetic grabbing of opportunities is not so good as taking a step back here to plan the best way forward....which is what you are trying to do. So if you feel to skip this, I'd agree it may be a good idea.
Yep, we are trying to be 'superior' men (or, in my case - woman) hereagain you describe the scenario in 7.5. Common sense, the younger son, would grab opportunities here as it's the obvious thing to do but that kind of thinking is not called for here. Consideration and pacing, like the older son, the way you are inclined to go, is better,
This one i postponed, it's someone i know and respect, i said honestly how i feel and asked may i be their guest when i'll have a new book (and that's quite soon), they said it was more than fine!Re 28.2.4>39 looks like an opportunity for renewal of friendly connections ? Lonely striving in 39 pushes you to a kind of limit (28) but there can be some support here, chances for new growth from old work (28.2) and the sense of being 'out on a limb' any sense of isolation or difficulty you have, may be supported by taking this interview (28.4)
I absolutely agree! I have pushed myself into burn outs many times, no need for that... I am re-learning to:Having said that the first answer 7.3.5>48 still makes me feel it's best not to push yourself into these things. Though the 2nd option looks much better than the first and may even help you on a personal level to feel better
