hold on or give up?

I'm struggling with this question for quite some time now.
What to do? What to do?
I asked the IC: "Should I hold on to these feelings or should I try to get rid of them?"

IC answered with hex 35.1.2.4.5>61

35.1 says "Perseverance brings good fortune"
35.2 says "Perseverance brings good fortune"
But 35.4 says perseverance brings danger.
And then 35.5 says "Everything serves to further"

It looks to me like the advice is not to give up, but hold on to my true feelings.
If I should try to quite my feelings, it would be a rational act. 61 is not about that as far as I understand it.
I understand 61 to be about inner true feelings.

But why would I get 35.4 if it is telling me not to give up?

Pfffff why does the IC always give me so many changing lines when I really could use a short, clear answer. I can't make head or tale from it when it does that.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

(The feelings I talk about, are of the romantic kind, as far as that wasn't cristal clear allready)

doesnt work like that does it? there is more to
the situation the hexagram is asking you to look
all around the situation

and it may mean stick with the situation all
relationships teach us something about ourselves
and sure - be true to yourself.

I don't feel it tells you either to give up or continue, it presents you with the truth of your heart and how that progresses

Perhpas for now its enough to be aware whats in your heart is your truth and nothing can detract from that no matter how the other person responds. 35.1 often does show someone not responding to affection , loyalty etc in kind and 35.5 is often very much a consolation line. Yes your feelings are true and genuine and Yi seems to be saying that is good enough however the other responds. Is it actually possible here to make a decision to give up or continue...our hearts know their own truth, at least i think yours does here. Telling it what to do is not so easy here...but I feel Yi suggests you honour your feelings as genuine. If someone won't receive your love it doesn't mean your love has become of no value, it remains with you and I think this answer says it is worth something to you.

the 35.4 could be some of your feelings of loss or attachment may pass quite quickly...but overall the whole reading talks to me of sincerity that is sadly not well met but valuable and true nonetheless. Not something one would cast in the rubbish pile becasue another doesnot see its value.

Perhaps ultimatley the loser here is the other in not seeing what you have to offer them is of great value. If they cannot accept then in the end its their loss...but theres no need to try to quash down your true feelings too hard, they are real.

I'm still contemplating on your answers.

Maybe I do need these feelings I have for him. When I'm around him, I feel so good. It's a great feeling to love somebody like that. And the feelings I have for him, made me feel alive again.

But on the other hand, when I'm not around him and that is more often, these feelings are making me feel so sad and lonely.
So it's very double. That's why I'm wondering if I'm better of if I got rid of them.
It is possible to do that, I could make it happen that I would no longer be around him.

By reading Trojans answer that it would be sad to throw such deep feelings on a rubishpile, sounded so true to me.
I love this man very deeply, and for a very long time allready.
The reason I love him, is because he is such a sweet, caring man. And definitly worth loving.

Pfffffff I'm so going up and down. I'm really having a hard time here.
Isn't love great?

I'm gonna stop writing now, and contemplate further on the given answers.

I think it is great to love - loving is its own reward
I have come to think that the one who loves is the fortunate one
Killing off feelings is killing off ones' soul
Because love is not reciprocated or not on our terms - is not love
love is gentle and kind...... it is an enchanted state that asks nothing in return

If it is holding you back from loving another then it is wise to learn how
to inspired by it yet still function. Languishing and longing are unloving to

That's very sweet hopex.
And you're right. Love is great and wonderful.
I'm doing better today. Sometimes it's just so frustrating to feel that longing.

Yesterday I asked the IC: "Please tell me what would be the best thing for me to do?"
It answered with 35 unchanging.

Great progress. Keep your actions pure and simple, or your judgment will become impaired. Work on progress for its own sake rather than in the pursuit of selfish goals.

what is loveable about you

how about a little change of scene according to my
