I left my old job of 14 years to take a new job 4 months ago. I'm still convinced my decision was a good one, however, I really don't like the new job. Specifically, there is a lot less work/life balance in the new position (something I didn't expect) and they've had a ongoing problem for several years with their inventory system which it seems like they expected me to fix already. This makes me feel overwhelmed because I'm not familiar with the system and don't even know where to start.

I asked "What could I do to make this job work better for me?" and the response was 32.2 changing to 62. Any insight would be helpful.

Line 32.2 reassures you that you won't regret taking this job.
Resulting hexagram 62 advises a) to keep a low profile, and b) not to expect much.

As related to your situation, I'd say keep their demands politely at arm's length, and only do as much as you can possibly do. Avoid overstretching yourself, keep in the background as much as possible. Not sure as to the nature of your job, but in most offices this seems to be a useful art to learn - the more industrious a person is, the worse it proves to be for the industrious person. Fixing their whole inventory is not in your job description I hope?

You don't regret your choice at all, we can already see that from your story
Here line 2 and line 5 are able to change for the better instead of staying this way (consistency), line 2 is you but line 5 could be somebody holding important decisions at that work place.
You have to make this person do something, because if only you do all the work, the hexagram will become 62, nothing will really improve, and the fan yao even said that "you will not meet the chief executive, but go about his duties among other officials", which further consolidates my view that the problem won't change and you're directed to do something else instead.
