whether we are doing the right thing moving to this house, also as we could have stayed longer in the place where we were. The section notice 21 was not valid and could have allowed us to stay longer. What was the question you asked?
I misunderstood the previous question to the thread. When I did the reading, my question had been: "What about this move to the new house in (...)? I would like to have the oracle's opinion". I never ask 'yes' or 'no' questions. But nevertheless, your insights are valuable and much appreciated. Thanks!Although this may seem petty, my experience has been that it’s really important how you phrase a question. When you ask ”Are we doing the right thing?” or any question that requires a ”yes” or a “no” for an answer it’s often not possible to get a definitive response because there are no “yes” or “no” hexagrams. For example with your question here one could argue 48.1.5 - 11 is saying, “Yes you are doing the right thing because,,,
48.1 Your current residence is no longer suitable.
48.5 Fortunately the new location is totally functional.
11. Everything is going to work out fine.
But we could also read these lines to mean “No you are not doing the right thing because…
48.1 That new place has many problems.
48.2 But your partner thinks you can make it livable.
11. The only reason you should agree to it is because you want to keep the peace.
If forced to come down on one side or the other I would say these hexagrams lean towards the positive but I think you might get more assurance from phrasing your question differently like, “Why is moving to this new place right for us?”
