Hi, just wanting to share that it was during a drinking session with a friend that he taught me to ask "How has this situation change? Or how will this situation change?" to the I Ching as it is the book of changes.

I would like to know how has a person's feelings changed towards me
53.4.5 > 56

53.4 > He had been in the deep end but he managed to get out of it
53.5 > The misunderstanding between us will clear in time
56 > He is looking around for romance

That was what I interpreted. A bit of background: This person used to like me, I do not know if he feels for me any longer.

I had tried to reach him but communication has been stuck, I couldn't get the message across. I asked the I Ching again if this communication situation will change:

2.2.3.4.6 > 50

I am baffled by this one.

Advise and interpretation truy appreciated

2.2.3.4.6 changes into 50. Please check your casting. (2.5.6 gives 20)

56 is about dis-entanglement, freedom. Exploring something new.

I think Yi says: he was unsure about his feelings (.4) but then he got over you (rising over the hill) completely (.5).
And now he is free, wandering away.

If this communication situation will change 2.2.3.4.6 → 50

All lines suggest that you shouldn't take active part in re-establishing the communication.
.2 be yourself
.3 mind your own business
.4 very clear sign, the road is blocked right now.
.6 ambition leads to struggle.

50 Throw your old feelings in the pot and make something new.
Or go inside, the ting representing your boundaries, and slowly melt and transform your thoughts.

I agree. Being proactive is not advised at all. I would just add that line 4 advises not to try to bring anything to light, just leave them on the quiet, not a time for revelations. And with line 6 if you really try to push the issue it might backfire entirely. So, best advice is really to keep a low profile.:bows:

I don't get 53.5, it's one of the lines that the Yi gave me and I don't really understand, it's super positive in the classical comments, and here it's not very encouraging. Well, sometimes it hints me about something but I always hesitate when I see that line. Not too sure about the question either.

53 - To associate

One offers their fellows to overcome constraints by associating.

4 - One moves away to find a free place.

5 - When the best don't want, one checks.
In the making
56 - Search

One restores order to find

Well 53.5 is about someone ignoring someone else. The problem is the check, I always have issues with that one.
Maybe the Yi suggests that he is checking your feeling by moving away from you. So you've not been told his feelings but his intent.

I had tried to reach him but communication has been stuck, I couldn't get the message across. I asked the I Ching again if this communication situation will change:

2 - Obedience

Being able to provide assistance, without taking decisions.

2 - Instinctive success.

3 - One takes only the necessary to carry out their task.

4 - One is misunderstood, and can only remain reserved.

6 - Others are surprised because one has acted without concert.
In the making
50 - Involvement

One is called upon to serve others.

Lines 2 and 4 are from me, from my knowledge of Wilhelm's book and personal experience, so while not great they are "compatible" with the classical comments.

Basically you are sliding from a situation where you cannot act, only receive (2) to a situation describing an involvement.

Ok, my take is that he is acting that way to check if you are interested in him.
