How to get this life together

I am all over the place and stuck at the same time and asked how I can get this together and movee forward in the rite way with my life. I got 52 lines 3, 4 to 35. Line 3 don't supress desires or desires are suppressing and line 4 suppress desires? Should i ignore the opposites and just look at 52 meditation leads to 35?

It looks like you have some impetus to change, to take an option or pursue something you want (35) and you are either half unconscious of it or you are putting a restriction on your desires.

First 52 asks you to be still and not to mind other people or outer events but just be quiet in yourself. This specifically means NOT thinking about the future, not worrying, not trying to analyse the whys of your life. It's like this big effort and big push forward you think you need to make now (35) well it's really best not to because you haven't yet been very clear with yourself about what you want and what you will allow yourself, or there's an inner conflict going on

'Keeping your waist still,
Dividing your back,
Danger smothers the heart.'

Line 3 is acknowledging your extreme discomfort here. Very uncomfortable, it's like trying to keep the upper part of your body quite separate from the lower part. If you think about your body cut in half below the waist is all the instinctual stuff, sex, lust the need to expel waste. In a sense that part of us carries on a life apart from our thinking being above the waist. But if we disallow urges, lusts, desires of all kinds, the desires that make us move without thinking, then we suffer anxiety, 'danger smothers the heart' because we're almost disassociating from our own needs. Imagine someone trying to meditate when every time they close their eyes they start thinking about sex but they try to push it away, they try to take the 'higher' route but this endangers the heart, it brings a sense of anxiety.

What you have to think about here is where in your life, in this situation you find yourself in are you feeling anxious or conflicted about following a hunch, an instinct, a desire, a need? If you can locate what you feel that about I think it allows line 4 to happen

No mistake.'


It could be you are in the middle of the process of getting to still that anxiety that may be getting in your way, getting in the way of pursuing what you want.

Probably your first step here is to notice what you want, notice where your feet want to take you, notice where you might refuse things you actually want or like. I think the answer is about getting in touch with yourself so you can move forward as you.

This makes alot of sense Trojina. I kno the line 3 is about a man who wants me back and the attachment I have to him. I try to let go and move on but dont know if that is the rite thing. I hesitate to go back. I hesitate to go forward. I like your thoughts thank you for sharing them.
