I have found myself in an uncomfortable situation with our landlord. My boyfriend acted behind my back and contacted him in a wrong way, creating the conflict...

How can I solve this situation positively?

44.1.5 was the answer.

Could you please help me with the interpretation? Im new to I Ching, really strugling to understand what the strong maiden has to do with this situation

Well, you are called upon to take the initiative in order to sort out the conflict -- with the landlord, I am assuming.

In my own personal experience, getting 44.1 is highly unpleasant. Don't know how it manifested in your situation, but the important thing is that even though you have 'witnessed misfortune' you shall get free of it.

I believe Yi is advising you to write a letter to the landlord, since when 44.5 changes, it changes to H50, the Cauldron, which often represents a letter or something in very effective written form.

Maybe writing something will transform this situation, Sunday. Protect your relationship with the landlord and the place where you live by putting whatever you have to say in writing.

Firstly, keep your boyfriend away from your landlord, then go and see the landlord and explain that your boyfriend is lacking in brain cells at times and apologize on his behalf, as you really need to clarify the issue. But remember boyfriend needs to be locked up and thus leave you a free hand to get the matter sorted out with your landlord, talk politely and he will be very understanding.
