Although I do not usually recall very much (or anything at all) from my dreams, this past saturday/sunday (feb. 6/7) I dreamed I was reading some material about the i ching to a small group of people. The hexagram being discussed was number 11 and the text I was reading referred to it as Making Peace. The moving lines were nine in the second place and six in the fourth place. There was some information that I was just starting to read when I awoke. It is not clear to me if it was an alternative text for the hexagram or some additional commentary. What ever it was, I was not able to bring it with me into the waking world. There is only one time that I can recall when I actually retrieved dreamtext. That was many years ago. It was a new verse to a song.

Has anyone else experienced i ching consultations in dreams or retrieved i ching related dreamtext?

Hi oldfogey,

A couple of years ago I was having really vivid dreams. I posted on here about some of them (there is a thread called full moon dreams if you wanted to search it). I wrote a lot of them down at the time and I find it interesting to read back over them as even after years they haven't lost anything in their vividity. One of the dreams I remember was about 61.4. It was a dream about horses with blinkers and I was 1 of those horses. The blinkers were removed and I look around and realised there was work that needed to be done elsewhere and the horse galloped away. It's strange, as with dreams you are every character and spectating. The understanding that you get with that is something I find very difficult to put into words.

I also have a commentary that talks about 'The Creative' almost as an entity. Like the muse or inspiration. This is also somewhere where I feel dreams come from - the viel between unconscious and conscious.

Hope you have happy dreaming :)
