44 is back.

I had some experience with 44 in relation to a failed relationship earlier this year and I get the feeling it may be saying there's a chance for a repeat dynamic to occur. Or it maybe referring to something negative still needing to be resolved. (isn't there always?)

Either way, the question was an innocent one in that I asked for some general advice for a short break I'm making at the weekend. I'll be taking a cheap flight to see a friend in Spain whom I used to work with briefly. He is a good friend and we haven't seen each other for a while. We have both had a tough few years so it should be good time to switch off for a bit.

I didn't expect 44.2.3.4.6 > 53.

However, barring some encounter which I'll be running screaming from anyway should that happen, I can only think that this refers to the psychological state and to be aware of old patterns. It can be a very creative situation or one that leads you back to entropy.

I see the lines like this:

2: Be true to yourself and don't overstep your bounds.

3: Because of past experiences you a little chastened and raw. Remember that and don't make things worse. Know your limits and don't take centre stage.

4: Then again don't be too unapproachable. Take a balanced view.

6: Make peace with the situation and don't run from it but don't wallow in it either.

Geeze, and I just wanted a quiet weekend away.

Well, I think 53 is a good summary of the situation - chill and don't react to things. Thanks for the interpretation WF, we'll see what happens. One thing seems to be obvious - I'll have to be a little cautious on this trip.

When many lines are moving I don't pay much attention to them but look to the 2 hexagrams. Well my first thought on seeing your answer was that there was an attraction (non platonic) happening that may not at first be welcome - or seem out of place somehow but that it could develop slowly into something good - hmm yes but you say you'd run a million miles from him if this happened - uurgh well that can't be it then, can it ?

You may be right about the above - who knows?

But one thing I CAN be sure of is the fact that I'm actually a bloke. So, I'll guess I'll be talking to my strange feminine side if that's the case!

Just wanted to give an update about 44.

Well, it seems it had nothing to do with my trip away. I see that the IC does this sometimes. It takes the opportunity to warn you of an impending lesson or test aligned to your particular learning curve. It may have no relevance to your question but it most certainly means something. So it was in this case.

I did meet a "strange woman" though interesting and had to do a bit of juggling to extricate myself from a situation which could have had some tricky consequences. I didn't take her up on her offer shall we say as she is less than balanced as it turns out - that's putting it kindly.

The IC gave me just enough vigliance not to do something stupid so everything ended happily ever after.

So, one of WF's line interpretations concerning a "strange woman" was on the ball ....but I didn't meet any bozos.
