(1) you need to put in ALL of the logic operators, not just AND, OR, XOR
(2) we know from the IDM/IC+ work what XOR does in that it gives us the expression of one hexagram through another described by analogy to a third - this is a property of self-referencing and reflects the whole expressed in all parts and so allows us to describe any particular hexagram through reference to all of the others in the IC. - and so the X-ness focus (as covered in http://members.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/introXOR.html and http://members.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/icspectrums.html )

your current XOR focus is 'flat' XOR - IOW XOR-ing for no reason or understanding other than XOR-ing!

any particular reason for this rather obnoxious comment? or is it just that you have issues at 3:30 in the morning?

I made two valid remarks re your software:

(1) you are missing logic operators and so your claim of 'logic' is false - your program only contains part of the full set.
(2) the IDM/IC+ XOR material is VERY strong re understanding what that operator does in the context of XOR-ing hexagrams - or can you demonstrate otherwise?

Not sorry, but …

I do agree it was an obnoxious and bitchy response, and one you’ll have to get used to if you continue with your dictatorial posts.

Now I also agree that I haven’t covered all Logic, I didn’t call it the All Logic view, it only covers And, Or and Xor, perhaps I’ll extend it in the future.

It also doesn’t present some pre-baked rational, or delusion, for it’s existence, it’s purpose is to add to the exploration of the IChing and allow users to come to their own conclusions.

It has got a number of real bugs, the context menus don’t work and you can’t drive the product hexagram even though the cursor suggest you can.

Apart from that it’s major deficiency is that it only present a named block to represent the hexagram instead of the hexagram’s internal structure, that’s next on the list.

Regards

Steve
