Hallo there!

A few months ago I went to my doctor complaining of a numbness/sensitivity in my ring and little fingers of my left hand. The result was I spent 5 days in hospital, lots of neurological tests and they couldn't find anything wrong with me.

The numbness is still there though, it moves from feeling like pins and needles when I touch it to just less sensitivity. I'm considering going back to my doctor as it hasn't gone away.

I asked the Yi 'whats wrong with my fingers on my left hand?'

17.5 > 51.

Any Advice would be fantastic.

are you a pianist? is it repetitive strain injury?

i had neurological crisis in january - down to
stress of losing my mother and job/money/
rel/tenant hassles

stress can have funny effects - in the end
a chiropractor checked me out (doctor
useless)
the chiropractor merely stroked a spot on
my feet and said neck area in strain - which
has made me a great fan of holistic healing

also NFSH healers are good

17.5 is a good line - you may get a shock but
it will make sense I think. Take advice and follow
it maybe?

I thought it was to do with my neck, i figured i must've slept wierdly but its still there, my left arm feels pretty weak overall- i think its a trapped nerve but the docs never told me either way..maybe a chiropractor could pull my arm out and fix it...ill give one a ring :)

Sounds just like carpel tunnel syndrome. I have diagnosed this correctly for my mother. She had tingling/pins and needles in her little finger. Her Dr didn't know what it was....by checking out her symptoms it seemed to me a very clear case of carpel tunnel syndrome so she went back and suggested it to the dr, who then agreed it was and she had a minor operation on it. Geez maybe I should have been a dr its not the first time I've told them the diagnosis

Its fairly common especially in people using wrists alot. However I've heard it can also be treated well by acupuncture and chinese medicine.

Of course they probably already checked this possibilty...I just thought I'd say incase it hadn't been

Otherwise as Hopex said one can get these symtoms from neck and shoulder trouble so it may be worth osteopathic treatment

This is a fascinating question because 17 looks somewhat like a hand.

Code:
▄▄ ▄▄ The two afflicted fingers
▄▄▄▄▄▄
▄▄▄▄▄▄
▄▄ ▄▄
▄▄ ▄▄ Palm
▄▄▄▄▄▄
Hexagram 17 I associate with the accumulation of fluids, and 51 with electricity (nerves). This suggests that you might benefit from a diuretic like B6. Do you sleep on your hand or lay your arm while sleeping in a position that could compress the funny bone (ulnar nerve )? Are you aware of the danger of push-ups and other hand-stressing activities?

-- This is an add for gloves, but the associated information is interesting.

I had the same problem a while back - numbness in the little and ring fingers of my left hand. The neurologist I saw said that the most likely explanation was compression of the ulnar nerve in my elbow, as Pocossin suggested. I had some discomfort in my left elbow as well, so it made sense. And yes, I lean on my left elbow all the time, especially at the computer. I've noticed the numbness starting to come back a little recently, so I have to keep telling myself not to do it!

May we have an update on this? Has the numbness gone away?

Yes, I've heard of this too. It certainly sounds like what you have! Hypericum is a great homeopathic for nerve pain, which might help give you some temporary relief. Feel better!
