Insight into relationship-Hexagram 55 unchanging

I've been reading the Iching every 3 days
to guide me for right steps to take or not to take in regard to my broken relationship, previous readings last weeks showed this:

Hex 5.5.6 > 26
then
Hex 46.1.5.> 40
This was Monday
Hex 64.6 > 40I've not talked to my friend yet, we live far away from each other and he is upset, Iw as too (still I am feeling hurt) after our discussion. A perception of him sitting near to me was like a flash 2 days ago. But he has not contact me yet, I stopped emailing him. I feel he is upset and hurt like me, but I feel he thinks about me.

Today I got Hexagram 55 unchanging
And I am so confused because it seems a great hexagram, but somehow and because the unstable situation with my friend (6 years), where he is there but he is not there and our last fight, I started to think if it would ever be possible something true and loving between us. I know a strong heart connection is there, but can we really relate to somebody that emotionally needs help and we can't give it and he is not looking for it?

What my hexagram means? What means 55 in this context of waiting? I slowed down and stopped contacting him, inside of me I wish our connection become healthy and finally real, but ist possible? My question to the Iching, was with that doubt in mind, but the question was about insight.

55 unchanging indicates some type of excess and I believe in this case it's an excess of emotion on your part. I think it's indicating that maybe you should get over it and move on, because as it is the situation is too much. Since you've gotten 40 Liberation a couple times, I think the Yi may be advising you to free yourself from your emotions, let go and enter into an entirely new cycle of rebirth regarding this situation.

Thank you by sure there is excess of my emotions, it is the first time in years relating (without really relating) with him that I am able to have my emotions more in control. Let go is coming easier, however it is hard because we have a strong intutive connection. I decided to read the Iching every 3 days ( I was reading it daily) also as a way to control my emotions, to teach myself to wait. But today I feel to read it again, because I feel more calm, like I slowly surrender. Thank you, I will read again. To see where my readings take me, now that I have a subtle different feeling inside of me, kind of the start of surrender, giving up to him.
