To put it briefly, some time ago I was faced with the decision of whether I should stop or continue my studies in social work and I also asked the I Ching about it.
The answer, which I also posted here and had extremely helpful interpretations from @rosada and @Trojina , was clear:
continue studying.
Well, in the course of the third semester it's all about finding a place for the 6-month internship that starts in February 2023.
Since I already have a lot of experience in this area and I am basically a person who is interested in difficult and unusual experiences and activities, the idea of doing my internship in Africa came up.
I wrote to the German embassy school in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Nairobi (Kenya) and received two positive replies.
So, provided the organizational structure is right and my university gives its approval, I can do my internship at both locations.
short background to both countries:
Ethiopia has been in civil war for two years and is going through a difficult and painful time. the economic situation is tough. The country has remarkable spiritual energy and people tend to be shy and withdrawn with strangers. The school in the capital is quite small and I would have to do various jobs, from teaching to homework help to kindergarten.
Kenya borders Ethiopia to the south, is economically more stable and, as a tourist spot, also has a more accessible energy.
the school in Nairobi is a bit bigger, better organized and I could concentrate on one job there.
from the outside, Kenya appears to be the simpler and more stable variant. the thing is, i'm drawn to ethiopia for two reasons:
1. There is a woman in Ethiopia and something happens between me and her on an energetic level. we have known each other for 3 years online and I also hope that we can meet and get to know each other on site with my theoretical decision to go to Ethiopia.
2. The depth of the Ethiopian soul attracts me, I feel that there lies a difficult but important experience for me. I may be wrong, of course, but that's how it feels.
that’s why I consulted the I Ching yesterday about what impact both locations can have in my life and that’s the result:

„Already across“ to „Limping“
Changing Line 1:
„'Your wheels dragged back, your tail soaked – no mistake.'“
So far my interpretation for this is:
I have committed myself to my studies and to what I want to do in the future and have already started the transition, maybe also regarding the lady. This could be a stable foundation for where I am heading.
Changing line 1 seems that my decision for Ethiopia will force me to slow down, there will be difficulties and I will wet my tail.
resulting in a situation where I will have to consult people who I can rely on or maybe I will meet someone who is helpful for my future.. but in a slow way and different from what I’ve maybe expect

„shock“ to „returning“
changing line 4:
„Shock, and then a bog“
Well, this doesn’t sound so good. It seems that, despite the fact that Kenya is a more easy and approachable destination in general, there is a shock waiting for me, fear, I don’t like this hexagram. Obviously something unexpected will happen.. leading to „Returning“ , which can either mean that after I have processed the shock, I can return to do my thing in Kenya or that it will literally force me to return to Germany.
this is quite a big decision for me so I am grateful for all ideas and interpretations you want to share with me and forgive me my inexperienced take on the Oracles answers.
