Kindly help on the interpretation for 33.5 to 56

Question asked: “ Should I quit xxxxx(company name) this year? “

Hexagon 33 with changing line (Nine in the fifth place) to 56

Background:
Currently working in this company for 3 years, everything was great in the last 3 years. However, I had lost my motivations due to some structural changes this year.

Seeking I-Ching guidance should I quit the company and look out for other opportunities or stay in current role.

Hexagram 33, Retreat, could be seen quite literally as confirmation of your thoughts about leaving your job. Maybe the changing line to 56, Traveler, could point to a time for travel between jobs?
Changing line 5 cautions you to go about leaving your job in the correct way - firmly make up your mind, give proper notice, ensure good recommendations, etc., and don't be swayed from your decision.

Hexagram 62. 2.4 (changing lines on Line 2 & 4) to 46 was indicated.

Does I-Ching meant I should secured a job first before quitting and don’t quit pre-maturity until I secure a new job? Thanks

I would say that destination does not really pertain to Hexagram 56. It is more about occupying the identity of a traveler, other descriptive words include exile, outsider, transient, stranger, wanderer, transition, etc. So, hexagram 56 might be reminding you that when you leave the known environment of your current job, then you will become an outsider, not in a negative way, but you simply lose the familiarity of your job. When you head out into the world, to your new job perhaps, you will be meeting a lot of people who do not know you, so you should take care to make a good impression on every new aquaintance or contact. A stranger should behave as a good guest, not as a member of the family.

This is a good follow-up question. With line 62, Small Power, it is important that you recognize your postition within the political hierarchy of your place of employment, in other words, when you seek to better your position, you may step on toes of current bosses, so it is important not to make this mistake. Sometimes bosses don't actually want their employees to advance, or on the other hand, maybe they can be helpful in offering assistance in making steps up, depends on the boss and their personality.

Lines 2.4 and changing to 46 - maybe the oracle is alerting you to the fact that you need allies in your plan to find a new job. Be discerning about who you trust, but there will be one or more people who will be willing to help you out, while there will also be people who do not want you to make any changes and keep you in your current position. Be careful to discuss your plans only with trusted people.
