Hey all,

I'm pretty confident finding and getting jobs. Today I got a email for a interview..so I asked the Yijing, "what would be the effect if I took this interview with NEXT"

I came out with the hexagram 3.

I'm going look deeper into it, however I also like someone else's view.

Thanks in advance!

There will probably be some problems with the interview, moments of discomfort but overall the interview looks to turn out okay, so just answer their questions and don't try to be a knowall or pushy.

The Beginning of Growth and its Problems; Going through the Process

Hexagram 3 is like a sprout pushing through the earth. It is just the beginning. Accordingly, I would not expect to get the job, at least not for the first interview...Hexagram 3 is the beginning of a process.

Back when I interviewed a fair amount, I would tell myself that certain interviews were "practice" interviews. If you go on enough interviews, you don't get every job, certainly, and you don't have high hopes for every interview, but you do get practice at interviewing. If you get enough practice, you should be good when the right interview comes along.

If I received this, I would think that I am just starting a difficult process, and I should gather my strength for the difficult task ahead.

"The superior man brings order out of confusion."

I think of 3 as a situation where all the pieces are on the table and now they need to be assembled into something. In reference to an interview I see this as saying they have your resume so they have all the pieces, now it's up to you, the superior man, to show how all those pieces fit together, to show who you really are.
