The more clear and concise is your question, the better you will enjoy the answer.

As for yes/no questions, people usually recommend asking two questions instead.

"What if call X?"

"What if I don't call X?"

Then if you still can't decide ask:

"What do you suggest?"

People usually think that the Yi is stern and does not like much being asked, some only consult once a month! But that's not true, you can have great conversations with the Yi if you are patient and follow the questions that are raised by the advices.

44: don't abuse hospitality,

line 1: you won't be able to stay if you don't commit sufficiently

line 3: your committment will be checked

10:committed with confidence in the long term

The Yi says that you need a long term committment and abandon other projects if you want to be hired.

44 - Invitation

One must not abuse hospitality.

1 - One keeps away a close one who doesn't want to commit.

3 - One does not move toward the danger without verifying and being prepared.
In the making
10 - Persistence

One is committed with confidence, in the long term and with a simple goal, without looking for outside help.

then asked should i work parttime as a receptionist and was answered with 22 and 41..

22: don't apply too fast to this job

line 2: the other job (pharmacy)
line 3: don't abandon this idea too fast

41: drop it, forget this idea
22 - To reserve

One shall not move too hastily.

2 - One goes with their entourage, who may be useful.

3 - One does not want to finish too fast.
In the making
41 - Remove

One loses their support and abandons. Accepting the constraints will arouse sympathy.

Lovely. I appreciate Your honest entree ! After the past more than thirty years I still won't tell anybody for sure how to relate to these topics.
When in doubt about how to ask I simply don't ask at all. I, the situation I find myself in and the spirit in this knows what it's about. For my own sake, when writing down for a later look, I notice the situation that caused me to ask.
My very own experience with nuclear hexagrams is that they show me what I Ching is reflecting on. Some times what I'm bewildered about isn't what's necessary for me to get adviced in and so I think that I Ching sometimes points more important advices out and, again: about the topic. but, thats my experience.
Not knowing is the best beginning and opens our minds much better than if we pretend to know...

It is tempting, but it could be too much. (Don't marry the idea)
Plus you'd have to deal with some tigers. (Jerks)
