is this the right path? hex 1 with 2 and 5 moving

Hi ! this is my first post here...
I asked IChing whether this is the right choice for me professionally speaking .
( now I'm struggling to find job in this field but I'm quite alone )
I receiveid hex 1 with changing lines at 2 and 5 =30
The 1 hex fits well since it is a creative field
Apparently I have what it takes
in both moving lines it is mentioned a great man. It is advantageous to meet a great man .
Who is the great man ?
I have to confess that I have some fear not toward this great man, but respect my creativity. I am quite an outsider in this field.
I fear to be rejected, I fear my power, I fear to use it maybe. It's difficult for me to explain this feeling since english is not my first language.

Any insight will be welcomed

What is so lovely is how your sentence above seems to 'capture' (30) your answer. Hexagram 1, the Creative and line 2 says 'the dragon appears in the field' so the fact you speak literally of your creativity in this field just fits so well with the answer you had.

When the dragon appears in the field that indicates the Creative principle is ready to manifest itself. So there is no doubt this is the right time for your creativity to unfold and be seen in, be part of the world. So it is time for you to 'come forth' and also associate with those who can guide and assist you in this field. In line 5 where the dragon, the power of the creative, is flying in the heavens it can indicate great opportunities that may seem to appear from nowhere. This might be scary, not so much because of other people but because at this time it is as if you ride a great wave of energy and you need to brave to take the opportunities that come up even when they seem kind of beyond you. It's funny because when I think of 1.2 and 1.5 it's the dragon I think of, the 'great people' in the lines go beneath my radar somewhat, possibly because I think of the great people as instrumental to the manifestation of the Creative. But yes I could well see this as like a team of scientists or a group of artists, that's the kind of thing I had in mind. With things like this the work is far larger than the great people who bring it into the world. Also we don't have the right word for it that I can think of but maybe 'zeitgeist ' comes nearest, the spirit of the time ? The Creative is pure inspiration which to my mind is above and beyond those who can manifest it but to manifest it is greatness. When I said 'zeitgeist' which isn't really the right word, I was also thinking for example of movements in art or science, in which new understandings and concepts seem to come forward all at once. Then I can see it as the dragon in the field, the dragon taking flight. Many people riding the inspiration and the force of the creative power.

Of course bearing in mind Hilary's recent blog post on scale http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?22447-Blog-post-Hexagrams-and-their-scale I ought not to get too carried away but I did think this was an especially potent answer to the query here about being on the right path. And of course the path asked about here for all I know maybe accountancy or plumbing rather than art or science yet still the dragon appears in the field, the dragon is in flight, so this can also apply to one's personal life, not only larger endeavours. I think it's one of those times where one might say one was 'on a roll'...surfing the big wave and so on. Also with a special clarity of insight in this case. Together hexagram 1 and hexagram 30 are very bright.

Whenever I wax lyrical about a cast I always try to remember to see if I can apply it to plumbing. That helps with the problem of scale....

The spirit of the time is what the great people partake of and engage in perhaps.

Ok Ok I understand like you say it could be the suggestions I made, but its more the essence of inspiration, when i was reading your response i thought of Tesla and his amazing inventions , Steve jobs at work, Bob Dylan pouring out song after amazing song, Leonardo etc etc, I had a moment today where i just had to stop and write a song on my mind, but then it was back to work so possibly its harnessing that energy. Wow interesting now i understand hex 2 more as well and the difference, I am the one getting carried away now this thread is about hex 1.

. In someway it is connected to what I?ve read about hex 30 "Everything that gives
light is dependent on something to which it clings, in order that it may
continue to shine." This makes me think about my deepest motivativation and the motivations of the like minded people cited by Steve suggests to me the concept of belonging and the imagine of the 'cow' that belongs to the earth(or the grass), or the sun and the moon that are clinged the sky find their sense and balance thus creating an order being a part of an order.

I found another little statement about hex 30
"As an image, it is fire. Fire has no definite
form but clings to the burning object and thus is bright".
It resonate a lot for me because makes me think about the need to belong to something in a way or another because it's in the order of every things. I quite believe that the 'docility of the cow' is the awareness of being in the right path .
