Dear All,

Once again I need your insights. Recently, I saw a job offer I'm interested in . So I ask the Yi: what will happen if I apply for the job?

I received 28.2.4.5 changing to 15

I'm bit confused both by the Yi and by the situation actually . This job would be an opportunity for me to change totally . Thing is I'm not sure about what to do. I want a change but I'm a bit scared, I probably have too much experience for the job (which can be bad sometimes...when looking at your resume they think: someone with a graduate degree we don't need that. I'm not sure I'm explaining myself clearly enough ) and if I ever get the job I'll have to move and start over.

I have Karcher's book and he says:
28.2 : Something is added to this worn-out situation that results in a burst of new growth. This will benefit everything. It connects what belongs together.

Ok this looks good. After confusion and exhaustion (actually I'm exhausted by my job situation). This will bring something good (me considering some other job?)

28.4: The structure of your life is braced and strenghtended. It is crowned with virtue and joy. The way is open. You have all you need. If you try to add more, you will simply confuse things and lose what you have.

Oh God... Ok I shouldn't apply for the job then....

28.5. Something is added to a worn-out situation that brings a brief burst of beauty. There is neither praise nor blame involved. Enjoy it. It cannot last for long.

I'm totally lost

Hex. 15 . Not an easy one! Does it say that I should stay humble and think better about what I want and who I am before doing anything?

I search the Hex index and I found the following thread. Does the IC say the same thing to me? Test yourself ? Why not having a try: send a resume doesn't cost a thing. Accepting the job might!

I thank you. Best,

I would say apply and see how it goes, if you don't like it then you don't have to take it.

I would look at the situation where line 2 indicates that it would be a new situation, and possible a long term one. However the other moving lines show a temporary situation.Perhaps you are not doing what you really want.I f you were offered would you stay long!.Perhaps the effect of change is more important than what the job can offer you.

Sounds to me like the lines of 28 are saying the job is one that is very similar to jobs you have had in the past, or perhaps this is a reference to you having training beyond what the job requires. You may be taking a position where you actually know more than the man you report to and therefore you must have an attitude of humility, 15, like the Master who appears in the role of the servant.
I don't think you're being overqualified (28) will trip you up if you have a genuine feeling (15) for the work.

Hello guys,

Thanks for your insights. Rosada I think you have a good point. Being humble if I know more than the boss is always a good strategy ;). To get this job would be life changing.
I thought about it and asked myself what would I risk by sending my resume? So I did. Will see what happens? If they contact me or not. I'll let you know :)

Many thanks,

Mousse

Mousse, I'm glad you did send in your resume--good for you.:)
Because in my experience, that #28 can refer to too many things going on in your mind, the roofbeam is your head and mind, and you're thinking too much and worried about several things, some related, some not.(like obsessing, sort of)
So, in other words the roofbeam is straining. being pressured.
I agree that sometimes being overqualified can lead to not being hired, but you can't be hired if you don't apply.
And like was said--if you get an interview and/or get offered the position, if you *don't* want to accept the job, you don't have to.
#15 refers to a similar thing too--to be modest does mean to serve and be humble yes, but it also means that being modest can mean not thinking so much about it and just going ahead and doing what you can.
If you "keep it simple" you can grow and flower, if you branch out too fast too soon, and practically jump out of your skin, you will not get so far.
It's all talking about doing what you know *now*, sticking with a process, and if anything, keeping humble in your thoughts. Don't worry too much about how working there would be before you even send in your resume, and don't worry about your whole life when sending in a resume is the first step.
Again, humility is not humiliation or degradation, but like you agreed re: not thinking or acting like you know more than the boss(even if you do) ;-) just keep to the path and keep moving--you'll see what to do.
You also have a lot on your mind right now, and a lot is happening underneath the surface. The answer here is to do *something*-whatever you can, and move ahead.
It may not seem like, say--sending this resume will help with your other issues, or, that ironing your shirts will help, but everything, and anything, you do is a step towards wholeness for you and getting a move on.:)
Good luck to you.

Hello Proserpine,

Thank you for your insight. You are totally right! I also thought that being humble meant not thinking that because of my profile I could get any job ;). As I said I sent my resume for several positions. I received one negative answer. I don't have the profile they're looking for and they're right. But I'll pursue my goal, and go on sending resume. Be humble and just wait for someone to hire me ;-).

Maybe I should ask the IC what will happen if I keep sending resume to some other job offers?

I thank you all for your insights and your kindness,

Best,

Mousse
