Hi all. I'm having a really tough job finding a job... I have a very solid resume and have had some good interviews, but so far no offers. I have a family to support and am scared. I threw the coins, asking simply, What do I need to know today about my job search? I received Hexagram 2, lines 3, 4 and 5, changing to hexagram 31.

My interpretation is that there are hidden processes at work, and that with my persistence, a good match will be made between me and the right employer. The lines seem positive, and seem to say - hang in there, be patient.

One thought that I had about this reading is maybe it's speaking to the kind of work I'm looking for, and an idea that I've had for a while now but have been afraid to put into action. Without going into any detail, the work I'm seeking is in the area of student support for college students. I've been applying for jobs, but have been secretly considering going out on my own and trying to do the work privately.

Any feedback or insight you may have on this reading would be most appreciated! Thanks so much!

Dalila,
When I get three moving lines, I consider the middle one to be the most important. 2.4 in relation to a job search indicates that there is need for caution in how you approach a job. Maybe you are about to get an offer. The other two lines indicate you would do best not to display your talents openly and to play a subordinate role, which seems to suggest it would not be a good idea to go out on your own to do the work privately. The hexagram 31 in this instance probably represents your sensitivity or anxiety about how this search has been going lately. I have a feeling you're going to get an offer in the not-too-distant future, and that is why you got this reading.

Please come back and let us know what happens!

Thanks so much for your response Ginnie, it was right on the mark. I did in fact get an interesting offer the very day I threw the coins. While it wasn't for a job, it was an offer to speak at a conference with participants that could very well lead to something really great.

I really appreciate you taking the time to consider my questions. I notice you often write a reply in cases where no one else has, and I think that's really nice. Thanks so much!
