Hi Everyone,

I joined a competition and success to go to top 30 Finalist. I asked Yi Jing what is the result of this competition and got Hexagram 20 Unchanging.

Will I win? Would anyone help me to interpret the meaning of Hexagram 20 Contemplation please?

Thank You So Much :)

Sometimes I think of Hexagram 20 as meaning "Seeing and Being Seen". So, perhaps you will win and "be seen".

Or perhaps the answer is not giving you a prediction. Perhaps it is saying that "We don't know what the result will be yet. We are waiting to see." You are in a place of looking without acting, waiting for the result.

I think it is asking a bit much of the I Ching to try to find out if you will win or not. Hexagram twenty throws the weight of understanding back on us in order to get us to contemplate ourselves and our relationship to heaven and its ways. We are being asked to ask ourselves why this situation is what it is, and to get insights into ourselves, and our reasons for asking such questions.

And then in looking further I find that you have already asked this question and received a different answer. Therefore twenty would make even more sense as the I Ching is throwing the question back at you. Perhaps you are a little too tense for this situation. I would recommend relaxing and let it flow. I understand the competition is important, but so is our own personal integrity and dignity. You will have to go with your first answer, and try to understand it as best you can.

"Seeing and Being Seen" OMG, I hope It can happen. Yeah, it will be easier if I get Hexagram 5 Waiting, Patience. I think that Hexagram 20 give a broader perspective for the result. So I will wait patiently :)

Hi Gene,

Thank You for Your Advice :) Yeah, I am very tense to know what is the result hahaha and asked I-Ching to know. I created different thread for different competition (Hexagram 56) and for this competition I got Hexagram 20.

Anyway, I think Hexagram 20 asked me to see everything from broader view and waiting patiently. I will do it :)

Thanks Again for Your Reply.
