62.2 from Hilary Barrett's book:

"Going past your ancestral father, meeting your ancestral mother.
Not reaching your ruler, meeting his minister. No mistake."

Is a Caesarian section a possibility?

The line talks about "going past" and "not reaching" something, but meeting something else instead. The ancestral father and the ruler might be the people (things, procedures) you'd normally look to for decisions; in other words, who or what you'd normally expect to be in charge, the higher authority. In the case of a birth, the father/ruler might mean a normal delivery where the baby is in charge (lol - but under normal circumstances babies are actually in charge of their births :D).

But the line is saying that isn't the case - you bypass the highest authority, or are prevented from reaching it, maybe as a secretary would provide a gatekeeping function for her boss by deciding which calls and visitors will get through to him.

In this case, if the baby is represented by the father/ruler, then the mother/minister (ruler's assistant) is you and your doctor. So maybe the birth will be under your control, not the baby's.

Could it be advice to maybe get things going on my own?
I was thinking of trying some of the methods people say work
I want her outta there now lol as much as I'll miss being pregnant I really just want to get some normal sleep (hopefully) I don't want to be pregnant anymore lol
I see my doctor on Wednesday... Maybe she'll tell me I should get induced? Lol I hope
And I don't really want a c section so hopefully if that can be avoided...

LOL - an induction never occurred to me (I don't know much about these things). But an induction fits what I thought the reading meant just as well as a c-section, and it's not surgery, so that's an improvement right there. (And of course I don't know if what I thought the reading meant is the least bit correct. It's just my guess.)

I hope something works out well for you. Although from what I've heard about tiny babies, your chances for sleep may not improve much even when she's born...

Hi Megan,

I said a little longer than a week because i consider the birth of a child to be a 'big' thing.
62 says big things should not be attempted; so i see that as next week isnt the time for your little bird to leave its comfy nest.

Consult with your doctor about the best ways to proceed.
(Just an fyi: the contractions from drug induced labor are more intense (painful) than when they naturally occur. And they dont speed up the duration of labor)

You want the baby to be born because you want some normal sleep........who will be looking after the baby then?

Liss, I chuckled at that, too, but in all seriousness, I suspect what she meant is that when she is able to lie down, she'll at least be able to lie down normally, rather than like a beached whale.

Ah well Lisa, maybe....I remember it all being a huge shock when I was a first time mother - by the 3rd one, well you knew you weren't gonna get any sleep let alone 'normal' sleep anytime soon!
