leaving a job - 23 unchanging

Part of my income is an early morning job that is physically strenuous. While the extra income is always helpful, I leave each shift in pain. In addition getting to and from this job now has become a problem.

My question was "what if I leave xyz job."

I received 23 unchanging. Reviewing WIKIWING I see, "stripping away", and "There's old , defunct stuff that needs cutting away."

I find it is interesting that then I find, "it's not good to head in new directions", and, "23 unchanging is really not the time to be forward-looking"

I have considered what else I might do for a second job - something a little less physical - but I had also thought that at this time, what I really wanted to do was just stop working the second job and let things settle.

23 unchanging - cutting away makes sense - and as it is unchanging - NOT having a set new plan nor ending this job with a new one in the wings seems wise.

Any other ideas?

Acceptance of loss is important in living through a 23 time.

If you have to stop then stop, life is not a perpetual flowering forth in new directions, things fall away too and we have to let them.

23 unchanged reflects your situation of not having a plan, and this should be allright. Sometimes we just have to wait for situations to dissolve and to stop.

What if I leave my job?
You will be shedding something that's falling apart without knowing what you will be doing next.

I wouldn't necessarily interpret this answer as saying you should do this. I think it's only mirroring your intention. It's giving you an opportunity to look at your intention a bit more objectively. The I Ching has helped you recognize that you truly are feeling you want out but it's also confirmed that at this point you really don't have a plan for what to do or where to go next. Now you can yourself, "Okay, I know I truly have outgrown this situation but is it reasonable to just quit without a plan?"

If you are leaving your shift in pain then that is your 23 right there I think. I know as you have said before this is long term condition connected with your spine I think? Anyway I wouldn't think it ideal you left your shift in pain each day, it's a red flag isn't it. It can be a 23 thing to accept 'I can't do this any more' but many people do have to come to terms with that and it can be a 23 experience.

There are realities to be met in 23 for sure, that's the painfulness of it. It's non negotiable.
