I am in the process of planning to open a business. I know in my heart of hearts that this process is leading me down the "right path". This business and its success means everything to me.

That said, Hexagram 5, Waiting, is the ever-echoing theme for the actual starting up of the business (I think I have literally been given this hexagram in one form or another in regard to the business more than 10 times), but... I need to work to live till this waiting period is over! (My guess is that we're looking at about a year till we open.)

I am currently working with my business partner at a pottery shop, but I am a classically trained singer, and always look for ways to use my voice to make money here and there. I consider it an enormous blessing to be able to make money doing something that feels like the most fun anyone could ever have. Last week, I went to an audition for Disney -- to sing with the Voices of Liberty. They liked me, and I have a "call-back" audition next week.

I asked the oracle what to expect from the audition and got 19.1.2>2.

Then asked how working at Disney would affect the business and got 19.6>41.

Singing, for me, always felt like a luxury and a very ego-filled past time... It makes me feel so happy to be able to sing, to be filled and surrounded by (and paid for making) good music. Beauty, pride, stress, importance... It creates in me - and I know this - an artificial happiness... a luxury totally unrelated to any spiritual fulfillment for me.

So... I have the opportunity now to do something that makes me so happy, and that will pay LITERALLY 4 times what I make at the pottery shop... But I do not want to let any successes with music lead me astray from my true aspirations. That is my own fear, and these readings speak directly to that fear.

Hi Melbalini,

From here this looks very favorable, however it appears you may have to decrease your involvement in the pottery business once the Disney gig kicks in. Hopeful outlook though. It looks highly rewarding.

The pottery business is my "day job" at the moment. I'm far more concerned about the effect the singing job will have on my own personal business...

Any ideas about what that 19.6 is trying to tell me in regard to my attitude/my actions that is separate from the 19.1.2 that is describing what to expect from the call back audition?

Line 1 and 2 represent joint cooperation with others.

Line 6 is in the spirit realm, so the joining there is with high ideals. You do it because that's was nobility does, not because it feels good or is convenient.

As far as interpreting what to expect, sorry, I don't know. But as I said, it does appear hopeful.

Consider that Yi might be directing your focus on 'how best to approach' these things, rather than forcasting an outcome.
