Hi all,

A question where the answer is slightly worrying...well or I don't know what to make of it.
I have lived in a large shared house for almost 7 years now. It's stable, affordable, fine. There are some annoyances because of the sharing, needing more space, finding particular housemates annoying but nothing terrible, just small niggling things that sort of tire me out. I am in a position where I might be able to buy my own flat, even though interest rates mean it's maybe not the best time. I have also never lived alone (I am in my mid-30s though) and I don't have a partner so am also worried about being lonely sometimes. On the other hand house prices where I live are just getting higher and higher, and I can't afford to rent alone.

I asked: Please advise on looking to buy a flat this year
56.3.4 > 23
This doesn't sound positive!
Sounds like 56.3 > I loose my current accomodation, and then I loose my housemates too? (or is it just saying you may move but make sure to leave on good terms? Don't leave with issues with housemates...I don't really have any at the moment but you never know). Or - I am a 'traveller' in my current home, and I need to be careful not to have issues with flatmates as I will get hurt in the end...
56.4 > I gain a property (new flat) but am unhappy even though I've managed to get all this.. OR - be sure to wait for the right moment to get a flat, the current accomodation is not quite right, niggling small annoyances, but wait for a good opportunity instead of rushing ahead and in the meantime see if my attitude can change in my current accomodation so that it is not annoying.

It's like is 'the traveller' referring to my current situation, this isn't quite right even though my basic needs are being met, or sort of the future of moving to a new flat?

Gosh. I then asked,
Is it better to stay in my current accomodation and got:
53 unchanging - not sure how to interpret this. Like gradually things will change? Leave it to happen on its own??

Any advice would be appreciated..or perhaps there is another question I need to ask?

Goodness sakes... everything you say makes perfectly logical sense for buying, but I agree with you Yi says not to. I suspect this is a time to (a) be thankful you know an oracle, and (b) trust it.

Further suspect it has something to do with the 23 in the background. Something is passing through, exactly not moving in and settling down and owning property (that's the 56) - and something is being stripped away, or will be.

Things that come to mind: how stable is your job? Any chance you could lose it and have to move to a whole different area?

Or - much happier thought - house prices and/or interest rates. You don't want to buy at the top of the market of either of those, and then have them fall shortly afterwards. 23 could be them falling.

@Liselle - hmmmm! Yes, it does seem to be warning not to pursue that line. But whether it's because of interest rates or some other completely unknown, who knows...

My jobs are all freelance but also quite stable in their own way so I'm not worried about that in the sense of I am already making a monthly rent payment, so a mortgage if it stayed the same would be the same, no different. But it's true that the market is very very high right now so perhaps it's just about waiting a little for that to calm.

Strange. I will have to feel it out I guess.

I asked: can you give me anymore insight into why I should not buy a flat this year:
42 > 3.6 > 63
Contradictory lines, one where I benefit in the context of a disaster of some kind, the other not sure about (42.6)

Well I guess I'll see what happens...hard advice to take since I had set my head and heart on moving out this year!

Hi all,

I asked: Please advise on looking to buy a flat this year

56 <> 23
'Quest' through 'Stripping Away'

When looking to buy a flat this year adopt be prepared for a long and arduous journey. The sands are forever shifting and you will have to gather many things together. This time is presented as one where there will be many obstacles that need to be overcome. 56 advocates that you approach the matter with your eyes wide open and to act in ways that are right and proper, for you and for others. You will be walking like a stranger in a strange land and will need to remain flexible and adapt. You might well view this as a person trial and choosing the direction to walk, if addressed with sincerity, could bring a successful harvest for you.

56.3 - How you are approaching and evaluating what you want out of the venture now is not going to serve you well going forward. Burn that house down and move on.
56.4 - The road you need to tread may not lie in this direction. Remember your dreams and follow your heart.
Is it better to stay in my current accomodation and got:
53 unchanging - not sure how to interpret this. Like gradually things will change? Leave it to happen on its own??
53 advocates that the best course to steer is one that is nurturing and compassionate such that there is a change to the overall levels by which you walk in the world and display yourself.
I asked: can you give me anymore insight into why I should not buy a flat this year:

Contradictory lines, one where I benefit in the context of a disaster of some kind, the other not sure about (42.6)
42 <> 64
'Growing Upward' through 'Not yet Fulfilled'

The extra insights Yi is giving you seems to be that you should not buy the flat this year because the time is not right. There is way too many unknowns for you contend with and things will not align to give you the clarity of direction and purpose that you normally like to have.

42 says that it is favourable to have a place to go - but doesn't say which direction. It only advocates that best practice would be to actively work on building trust in yourself to follow the scent when you think you are on the right trail and to correct yourself as soon as you notice that you have gone down a wrong track.

42.3 - Follow your dream if that is what you think is right. There is no fault in following a dream, even if it turns out to be unfavourable in the end.
42.6 - Remember, not all things are stacked in your favour here, and if you proceed there will be times of darkness. If the lights do go dim at any point in the outside world, do all you can to keep them shining brightly in your inside world. This will be the point of growth for you.

...or it might mean something different for you.

Good Luck
