Can somebody explain me exactly the meaning of the moving lines? I m using Wu Wei "I ching workbook" and there is not good explained.
Are all others lines disregarded except moving lines?
For example I ask how can I conciliate with ex girlfriend and I got 26.6 to 11. How should I interpret it?

While using the yarrow to do divination, we will obtain the numbers of 6, 7, 8 and 9.
6 and 8 are regarded as the Yin line, i.e. the feminine line, and 8 is defined as the younger Yin, while 6 is the older Yin.
7 and 9 are regarded as the Yang line, i.e. the masculine line, and 7 is the younger Yang, while 9 is the older Yang.
The older Yin tends to change to Yang, so does the older Yang.
The abovementioned older Yin or Yang also refers to the coin method: all three coin is of A side, or all three coins, B side.
As for how to read the moving line, it depends on the reading method you are using.

Hi yamabushi,

Interpreting a specific Oracle about a personal relationship is more of a Shared Readings question--especially with hex 26.6 >> 11 where the moving line differs so from the hexagram overall suggesting it is only a matter of expressing the pent up feelings to move on to the next situation with its fertile opportunities.

In general, moving lines indicate an emphasis upon that specific line place to such an extent that it is causing a change. A moving Yin line is developing its own focus and thus making itself Yang; a moving Yang line is expressing and exhausting itself becoming Yin. These changes are making the overall hexagram change toward the Resultant hexagram with the new pattern of line values.

In divination, only the line judgments of moving lines in your oracle are considered.
