Hello!
I'm so glad I found this website and get a consultation of so many smart people.
English is not my mother tongue, so I hope it would be too bad.

I've been toying with I ching for a while, but the answers still puzzle me more often than not, I guess I'm not talented in its interpretations.

Lately I've been having some chronic health problems and I'm fed up.

I got 51.3 changing to 55 when I asked 'how can I heal'.
I have no idea how to read this.
Please help?


My other puzzle is
'How probable R will contact me' produced 42 flat.
Again, any help is welcomed.

55 could reflect your "fed-up-ness". But yet the council is to be not sad, be like the midday sun. Hard advice to receive when you're already fed up. 51.3 uses the extreme sensation to take positive action to heal, saying, not only have I had it but I'm going to do something positive about it.

Um Gato where did you get punishment from? And "do something, anything"..... sounds a bit desperate to say the least and flies in the face of 51.

The key to all the lines in 51 is not dropping the sacrificial spoon - staying cool in other words.

51.3 says get active:

‘Shock revives, revives.
Shock moves without blunder.’

that's a nice little quote from the wikiwing

And
42 - increase yourself/love yourself

Your health issue requires that you do something about it, if conventional medicine is not working, then try some alternative ways/medicine but you really need to start being more cheerful otherwise you will find it hard to get better.

It is an unchangng hex and I find these often throw you back on your self. And be careful of "predictions" it is a book of changes. No problem with asking about the future but just remember it is not set in stone.

Two things: there is a lot of fabulous material for learning on this site - explore!
how about sharing your own ideas of what your hexes mean ? - The idea here is that people participate in their own threads and not just ask for "answers"......

There is absolutely no reference to "punishment" in either 51 or 51>3 .

I really like Brads work too and it must be really difficult to read as a second language.
I can see a couple of places where you might think of punishment but in 55 Brad is talking about making quick decisions - perhaps you are reading "executive judgement"?

I am guessing of course - feel free to ask for help - not whole translations obviously but the odd line or two no problem!
