Need Help Interpreting Reading Figure is 12.2.5

My questions is should I buy a year long ski pass. I know this may sound like a frivolous question, but the cost of the pass is significant, and I would be paying for something I may not be able to use, because I am temporary resident in the sky pass area.

Anyways my primary figure is 12 Obstruction, line 2 is an old Yin Line (___x___) , and line 5 is an old Yang Line (___O___). So how should I interpret this? I have been following the How to use The I Ching by Stephen Karcher, and have even created several differrent figures, but I am uncertain what any of them means. Such as what does it mean to have two steps of change. Or what does the change pattern signify?

In your heart, you already have the answer that is don't buy the pass or you may not use it frequently to make it worthwhile the money.

Your hex 12 has 2 changing lines right... then you should draw up another hex with the changing lines changed. meaning if you have a changing broken line, then the new hex is a solid line. You will get another hex. Then, hex 12 is more of the current situation, and the new hex is the future.

It isn't an auspicious reading. The meaning is something like "Obstruction before Completion."

I would take it to mean that there would be an obstruction to you using the pass before the season was over.

(__x__) looks like an obstruction in the rear, not to be too rude, but its a common text pic, maybe best without brackets __x__ .

64 gives the backdrop of weighing things up, line 5, in this context, seems to say if you could use the pass wheneevr you wanted to its fine but if you are 'tied to the difficulties' in lise's words, then you miss the opportunity.

there is a good thread on change patterns in the reading circle, other than that I couldnt say as it really confuses me.

i think really you need to find out if you can use the ski pass in that area first then you can make a decision to cross that river...buy the pass.
