New relationship? 36, 31.2.5>32

I recently met someone who I am attracted to on several levels. We were assigned as partners for a class project. We share interests and have similarities in our character and outlook on life. We both acknowledged that we find each other very interesting. Instant connection, lots of smiles, and lots of questions. Feeling like the universe is trying to tell me something, I simply asked the I Ching (while thinking about him):

"Tell me something I need to know right now"
and got hexagram 36 "Darkening of the Light" with no changing lines.

Now obviously this was disappointing, and I wondered if or how this answer had to do with him, so I asked the I Ching:

"What about _____ (his name) ?"
and received hexagram 31 "Attraction"
with changing lines at 2 and 5,
relating hexagram 32 "Duration".

Now I wish I wouldn't have asked such a vague first question, but for something 'I need to know right now', hex 36 seems like a warning that I should not overlook, but from what I do not know. I take hexagram 31.2.5>32 to be great, but I'm trying to make sense of the relationship to hexagram 36, if there is any. I would appreciate your insight!

I am new in this forum, but have had hex 36 show up in some early relationship questions a few times. I usually take it as: Don't open yourself too fast, keep your guard up. When I did not take this advice it seemed like things didn't work out, not sure if because I was too intense and drove them away, or simply because it wasn't meant to be (in which case not opening yourself too much comes in handy).
