Recently, I have two offers from 2 companies neither which im really excited about one in Columbus, GA and one in NY. I'm currently interning and my internship has been extended til November in ATL. I could risk it and wait it out for something more interesting or could accept the offer I'm not to excited about with in NY or GA.....

What should I do?

Hexagram 37.1.2 > Hexagram 57

I feel like this says I should stay where I am since I don't feel very strong about either option since. "every member knows his place, if he is allowed to exercise his whims and passions he will regret the indulgence"..therefore making a sudden change in mind will result in regret. Line 2 says "attend to needs of household" and persistance bring good fortune....so continue doing what I am? Hexagram 57 indicates modest gains - wander about/keep exploring job possibilities?

Why can't I make up my mind?

Hexagram 22.6 to 36

I don't know why I have such mixed feelings. But 36 means 'Brightness Hidden, Constancy bears Fruits, advancing could bring injury. Not sure if I've interpreted correctly, but getting into a job you don't like is a big deal, and I don't want to join the company then just if im unhappy leave otherwise ill leave a bad impression

You have interpreted correctly. Do not doubt yourself -- You have decided correctly.

thanks Ginnie. My feelings keep changing....by my intuition is leaning toward NY even though I know you said do not doubt myself..so I asked the i-ching again:

Maybe the best option will be to move back to move to NY? (since my family is there and i can save)

Hexagram 17.1.3 to Hexagram 31

I feel like Hexagram 17 says I stop listening to other peoples opinions (my brothers, friends) and follow my own lead. 'He who clings to the strong man loses the little boy, but gains what he desires. Persistence is advantageous'....therefore even though the company is not great but the title/function is more what I desire. Hexagram 31 says do what is heartfelt.

Regarding line 17.3, the John Blofeld I Ching says: "It is advisable to make no move but to remain determined." I have found that this line signifies a willingness to give up what is inferior, but following it does not usually lead anywhere.

17.1.3>31 Hexagram 31 is very interesting and it can point to increased sensitivity or a sensitization. Living closer to family is a double-edged sword. You might save money, but conflicts are more likely to erupt.

Ginnie, I realize you said not to make a move and stay determined but due to the circumstances at my internship worsening (office politics) and the increasing unemployment rate I have decided to accept the position in NY since it is a full-time stable position. Even though I am not excited about it and want to stay where I am in ATL I've reasoned that I may not have my internship extended again in Nov and may not have a job by then....

Will eveything work out okay?

Hexagram 54.2.3.4 to Hexagram 36

I dont like the sound of these hexagrams. Hexagram 54 says I abandon my duties at my internship to go work for someone else less desirable company. Even though I take this full-time position it will not help me out. But line 4 hints maybe I will find something better while working at this other place. Hexagram 36 says to persist while I am there in NY?

Just for the office politics story: I work with another student who is a MBA intern. My managers husband and this MBA intern happen to be in the same graduate class. My manager told her husband that her 2 interns at work "don't do any work and are lazy" despite the fact she delegates all of her work to us. Her husband told the other intern's classmates what my manager said and we both came to find out. Now, neither one of us feel like working for her. (therefore, I've already given in my notice of leave)
