I asked, "What will be the result of pursuing X as the mother of my children? I received Cast Hexagram: 32; a Changing Line that reads: "He pledges his love too hastily, and awaits her promise in return. This stunts the natural growth of affection."; and a Transformed Hexagram: 54 entitled "Loveless Marriage". I'm new to this, but the interpretation that hits me over the head is that I should let go of the plans I had for X to be the mother of my children. Anyone else interpret these results differently?

Are you wanting a personal relationship with this woman or are you just wanting a child and are looking for a surrogate to carry your sperm? 54 would seem to describe a woman with whom you have no personal relationship with but 32.1.2 makes me think this particular woman would need quite a bit of convincing to be willing to take on this role for you.

If your question is about someone you have a personal relationship with and are wondering if this friend would also be a suitable marriage partner then I think 32.1 and 32.2 are saying (1) it's too soon to tell and (2) use common sense, get to know her better. 54. says personal relationships take time to develop and cannot flourish when one person selfishly only considers their own needs.

All in all I think you are indeed being advised to let go of the plans you had for this person to be the mother of your children. Better to find out what plans she has for her own life and see if there might be a way she would be willing to include you.
