I have checked some posts in Exploring Divination about the outcome of 53.5, including this one which has a really lovely result:

I just bumped into something Trojina had written about 53.5, when she was asking something like whether anyone ever had a recognisable outcome from it because it was so slow. It made me smile because it reminded me of something I thought I'd share here. 30 years ago, I was struggling to get...

I post it in this forum because more people are likely to read and react to it here, however I'm OK with moving it if necessary. Recently I received 53.5>52 about a matter I want to happen very much. In fact that's like a dream. This line indicates good fortune anyway, so no need to worry. But will we always get what we wish for? Well, the translations are a bit different.

Hilary writes:
"Wild geese gradually progress to the ancestral grave-mounds.
The wife is not pregnant for three years.
In the end nothing can prevent it. Good fortune."
It implies that yes, we will get it finally.

Bradford writes:
"The wild geese advance by degrees to higher ground
The wife is three years without conceiving
In the end nothing overcomes her
Promising."
The wife won't lose her nest and good fortune, yet it's unclear whether she gets pregnant.

I'll be happy to read about:

• your experiences with this line;
• your take on it;
• your take on the two translations above (or others);

One thing I think I'd want to look at is whether Brad always writes "promising" where Hilary writes "good fortune," or is it just this one.

I don't think I'd think of "overcome" much differently from "prevents" since both agree the subject is pregnancy.
