Partnership question

Hi All,

After some discussion, I wanted to ask the yijing this question about a partnership "What would be the effect of working with x"

I received hexagram 10 (changing lines 2,3,6) going into 49.

Overall it seems like I should, however line 3 throws me off (it being the one from my understanding being the most important).

Main question I have is should I proceed working with this person?

is something major happening in the partnership, I assume its a business partnership. line 3, have you been making decisions that aren't yours to make alone ?

if not then line 3 is a warning.

whats the background of the situation?

I'm a person who doesnt enjoy rules all that much (but I'm learning their value) so whenever I get 10 I dont see it as the ideal situation. but it could mean something successful and powerful in business terms.

What happened that made you ask the question? but without knowing that yi is saying if you proceed proceed carefully and with correct conduct, line 6: look at what you've done or been doing..... this line is is saying yes proceed. I feel in the dark though, and like there was something you did or something you reacted to....

I can't give too much details away, however I'd be working with this person as a guide/teacher (him doing this for me), he requested to work with me actually (though he has much greater power in the situation to a degree). And I'm just debating if I want to work with him or not, and I've been leaning on it for abit, cause lots of people recommended I work with him (even before I knew he wanted to work with me). I only recently talked to him though, and I said I'll hold off my decision till I contemplate it more. So its not strictly a business partnership, more of weird- business, student, teacher relationship. Where he has me working with him (which he wants) and I get all the benefits (with working with him).

this gives me an image of a baby cub walking behind the lion king, he can bring you all the advantages of being associated with him but he will bite you if you step on his tail. this situation can bring you good experience though.

I generally had that impression chingching, so thanks for clarifying, indeed I need to watch myself and respect him. Does anyone else have anything to add?
