Please help with hex 63 and 46

This is a continuing situation that Willowfox was so gracious helping me with before but now I have further questions.

My 'friend' Will and I have not been communicating - at all. He says that it's because of his job, but I don't know.

I asked the iching why hasn't Will contacted me - it gave me hexagram 63 changing at 6 to hexagram 37. Could this have something to do with his family interfering in our relationship?

Then I asked if there was anything that I could do to keep his interest and the iching gave me hexagram 46 changing at lines 5 and 6 to 57. Is this telling me to continue emailing him even though I haven't received any response from him after he responded several days ago to me? Should I just be patient and wait for him to come around or is this situation completely hopeless?

It suggests that you should go slowly and carefully, this whole hex is about progress towards a goal, and therefore if do everything in a proper fashion and be cool then you will get there okay. So, don't rush ahead of yourself without knowing the situation, sometimes you need to stop and think.
While hex 57 speaks of slow gradual changes, eating away at the problem bit by bit.

I think that you're right, willowfox. He came on really strong and my instinct told me to put the brakes on it even if he did not, but I didn't listen to myself. I'm going to back off from him and let him come back around on his own initiative.

Oh, I consulted the iching again and asked what should I know about the situation between us and got hex 22 changing at lines 3 and 4 to hex 21. I think this means that the relationship is more important to me than him, most likely because I was always available to him. Is that right? I'd really love to hear your thoughts on it as you've been spot on thus far.

This suggests that things are going well between you so don't mess it up, so don't complicate the issue, just wait for him to communicate with you when the time is right.
