Good afternoon all,

This morning, I asked Yi what has he got for me - 15.3>2 was the answer, which btw I get a lot.

Then just now, upon returning home and feeling another wave of this unspecified anger I felt pretty much my entire life (but suppressed, and only now learning how to experience without going into a story and, inevitably, reaction), I asked Yi about "this anger I feel", and he came up with 2.3>15.

Neat, right? I don't know much about I Ching, but one thing I'm sure of - Yi will often ignore the question, and speak of whatever the real current pressing matter - or what I got to call aprevailing trend - is.

Any thoughts?

And, more specifically, any thoughts on 15.3>2~~~2.3>15. If it were a story, what would it tell you?

A storyteller myself, I love nothing better than hearing out other people's narratives. Also these plum dumplings rolled in breadcrumbs and vanilla sugar my mum makes, but guess that would be entirely different, er, story.

Thanks,

Grace

Well 2.3 says 'without accomplishment there is completion and 15.3 speaks of integrity of completion.

This is Yi saying 'it doesn't matter that no one is giving you any recognition or acknowledgment for what you have done because you have done something real and worthy in itself'

It's tough because we get caught up in the idea that if we are not recognised/paid/appreciated we failed... Yi says here 'that's bull$hit' (Moss Elk taught me to write '$hit' and get past the censor)

You might feel angry that you have been exploited or not acknowledged but Yi is reassuring you that you did your work well (15.3) and must accept that although there appears to be no outer 'reward' you have indeed accomplished some work (2.3). That 'work' may not even be what we think of as work. it might be the work of a relationship or something.

I think your anger will be about lack of recognition, of due rewards or acknowledgment. (2.3) This is an answer of comfort. The universe knows you did it....even if they don't. Even if you haven't been recognised your accomplishment cannot truly be taken from you...it doesn't work that way. In the deeper sense of things all is well here. It's like your energetic 'credit' cannot be diminished. If you truly can take that in you won't feel so angry.

Oh you spoke of stories...this theme runs all through fairy stories. In fairy stories true worth always wins in the end. Cinderella was kept down scrubbing floors but was the true princess. I think yours is a Cinderella tale...or can you think of one that fits better ?

Trojina dear, thank you so much for taking the time to answer - now, where do I start telling you how right you are? Perhaps by saying that fairytales raised me, and none more so than Cinderella.

Or that I finally published my first book, for which I know is good, and was told is good, and yet I'm having to scrub floors (make coffee) at a home (coffee shop) that belongs to a wicked stepmother and her crude daughters (a mother & daughter team), for crumbs off the main table (minimum wage). Or that I continue to write, there's a sequel almost ready to roll, and another book's under way, feeling simultaneously grateful for this gift, and at the same time angry and all kinds of tired.. So yeah, guess I am pi$$ed (thanks, Moss Elk!:), I did my bit, where's my reward style.

Your answer means everything.

Thanks again,

Grace
