I'm producing a commercial - where there are some complications….

I asked the Yi "Will the "x" advert happen? and Yi's answer, 17.1.6 to 12.

I see this as everything being blocked right now (12)…. but eventually everyone finds the creative tide and flows with it?

Does anyone have any thoughts to offer?

Well, Nigel writes about hex 17:
Line 1 goes yin - life force shows more change.
Line 6 being yin we are following this emerging life force as it becomes more active.

The Chinese image:
The basis of circumstance is changing.
Correct continuance brings good fortune.
It is beneficial to go out of the gate to find associates. He gains merit.

Now there is energy where there was none, but "this needs to be used in following (correct continuance). To follow our circumstances we need to go out to them, to follow with them (the associates).

And

Line 6 goes yang - our inner being accepts less.
Our inner being does not accept following. It may be his followers he does not accept or his own following of the tao.

Holding sincerely to changing circumstances as though bound fast to them, identification (the king) sacrifices itself in the mature state (the evening is the day matured, the mountain is the wide view of maturity), whetner followers or following is the subject here identification as a mode of being is given up as a mature view is taken. Identification is not following but a form of owning.

Also if you look at hex 12:
The top three lines, representing our outer attention, our identity and our inner being, are all yang; we are not very aware therefore of the life force as it manifests. Where we are not aware we are not changed and this tao is commonly named "standstill".

...The flow shows that it is not strictly the tao enforcing standstill in identity, it is equally the rigidity of our identity, roles we play, stances we habitually take up. To be free of these is to have freedom....


So, Yi says that the project will probably happen (internal hex 53, gradual development)
but you need to sacrifice your rules and give up controlling the people (line 6),
instead follow(h17) them and listen to them(line 1).
Because right now it seems that you are rejecting or just ignoring all the right ideas (h12), and this is what's stalling the project.

According to your hexagram, it seems that the "x" advert will not happen.
Because Hex 17 shows that you are trying to follow up customer needs(the hex name is "follow"), but Hex 12 shows everything has been blocked right now. Hex 17.1 says "there are some changes on the official circles", and the hex code of Hex 12 says "a bad leader caused blocking situation", so perhaps the reason why the "x" advert will not happen is a "bad" manager(either your manager or the customer's manager).
