Single Elk Chronicles vol XXIV

There is someone i have felt an attraction to for several months and from our conversations and a few readings i've come to know that a romantic relationship doesn't seem to be in store.
So, i've accepted that (and that it seems for the best).

But, there is some kind of attraction i can't seem to shake or identify. (It is mutual)
I'm pretty sure it isn't sexual, it seems located about 1.5 feet higher.

I asked a couple of questions after coming to the conclusion that a 'Relationship'
wasn't the way to proceed.

How may i be correct in regards to her?: 48.6
(Which i took as to be open and freely giving to her, a real friend.)
And
What is the purpose for us bonding?: 29.2

I'm looking for insight into the 29.2
Any thoughts?

HI Moss Elk, something I learned over the last couple of years is about just because there is an attraction doesn't mean it's sexual it can definitely mean it's a soul/spiritual connection but most people don't understand that and just think it's sexual, so good on you for recognising the difference.

I think line 2 Hex 29 is just saying ' well yes there's a connection but you just gotta wait for the bond to become more concrete before the purpose of the bond becomes obvious' - Liss

Hello Moss Elk,

From my perspective, the 9 in the 2nd place signifies that there are trust issues in the foreground of attention for one or both of you but the fact that the yang line is changing to a yin means that the issue is in the process of resolving itself. It's interesting, then, that that change brings about hexagram 8 (Union).

Trust issues do not always mean someone doesn't trust me, personally, of course--often they involve a more general difficulty trusting life, the world, because of broken attachments at an early age (such feelings can often feel like "the abyss"). It may be that patient "being there for" her in a reassuring manner helps assuage such habit-feelings and allow for a new relationship to recharge both your lives.

All the Best

Just an update.
The winds of change left me with the necessity of vacating my apartment in just a few days, and without any idea of where i was going to stay. The dear woman in question offered to let me stay with her and gave me keys to her place. Woke up and had coffee with her this morning.

What a blessing.

It's not really a purpose. That pushes too hard. Seek modest gains (29.2)
It's more like an affinity (8). Just let it be what it is and flow where it flows.
But that means being present to it, following the lead, not being distant or aloof.

And so, only modest gain was sought and achieved.

And yes, found out later there was danger that I stayed clear of by only seeking modest gain.
