Hi folks. Doing plenty of yoga & meditation and decided to ask some core questions:

What is my true purpose? 51.1.3.5-31 shock-influence

Is music the path of my true purpose? 8.5 - 2 seeking union - receptivity.

Any thoughts most appreciated!

You seem to have hit the nail on the head with music being your true path. 8.5 shows a central and balanced position.

True Purpose—
Hex 51 --> 31: Surprise & The Unexpected as the path to Influence & Stimulate others, reaching "universal or general" attention.

Music as Path—
Hex 8 --> 2: Expressing what Holds People Together leads to Deeper Listening {True Creativity is based on True Receptivity}

To reach wide audience, surprise yourself: listen to more than personal ambition: serve a higher purpose.
To bring people together via music, listen to what others do not hear: give voice to Earth, Nature & Spirit.

.. for me music is all about Earth, Nature & Spirit. My difficulty has been finding others who feel the same way, but who actually have the professional skill levels as well. I want to create joy, beauty, catharsis, truthfulness.

How can I embody what I need to be in order to fulfill my purpose? 10 treading

Inner Joy (Wonder, Curiosity, especially SHARED Joy)
Outer Creativity (Making, Exploring, especially DOING instead of thinking about doing)

Action: Hex 25 --> 20:
25 demands uncontrived authenticity:
Earth, Nature & Spirit are directed from within by TAO, the unknowable purpose-intent behind all--
Artistic endeavors must come from this same unfathomable source, not conscious purpose or intent.
So, Trust your connection to the Unconscious, which speaks in Images, and take Action
by Expressing the thoughts-emotions-memories evoked by those Images

20 seems to me similar to 31 in your previous inquiry:
Persevere and you will be seen from far away.
Likewise, success will allow you to see ever farther.

Wow thanks Hsin. So very beautifully described!!!
That is the path I'm trying to follow, slowly coming out of the mists of my mind, it takes a very different mentality to follow such a path, to the one in which I was raised. But this is the only path that makes sense to me.
