The hexagram that I got is '40', no changing lines. I had done a reading (tarot) on the same subject and it was a bit challenging. I would like any and all input/insights of what any of you may offer.

I don't need to ask the I-Ching about the state of the world, just turn on the news and then you will see quite clearly that there is strife and turmoil everywhere.
