Question about moving/changing places...

Good afternoon to you all (or morning/evening, depending on where you are). I will give a little background before writing what the Yi's answered me. So, my situation is this, I am currently living with a cousin of my mother (she is 82 years old). I came here because I am currently working online, and, I cannot work from my home (in another state) because the power supply services/internet connection doesn't work properly (or not even at all). My situation hasn't improved that much, I spend almost everything what I earn. Of course, I am also here because I am helping to take care of my mother's cousin.

I feel like I am in a dead end. I asked Yi if "Staying here would hep me improve my situation further"? to which I got hex 23.1, before asking this question, I asked "What else could I do to improve my situation?" (monetary of course) and I got hex 17.5 to which I don't know exactly what I should "follow" or "what other bussiness should I accomplish" (hex 51.5), of course, my idea the whole time was to work from home, but for that I need to invest on an expensive internet service and perhaps an inversor and a car's battery to have my laptop turned on when the power supply fails.

I then asked if "Leaving to Cagua (my city) would help to improve my situation?" to which I got hex 1.2.3.4.5 to 27. I understand that the action of "leaving" or "staying" will not help per se, I have to do something else, but, I don't know what should I ask then.

Finally, I asked "Should I stay in Cagua for good"? to which I got hex 27.6 to 24, and, it still confuses me. I understand that the line talks about crossing a great river (traveling) and it also talks about a source of nourshiment, but, precisely, my source of nourshiment requires from something I don't have there, so, in relation to my where my house located is, I don't know what it means.

Can anyone of you shed some light for me? Thank you very much in advance.

You mustn't 'discard constancy' here, that is being true to your values and your sense of purpose in life. You may be tempted to treat these as less than they are perhaps because things just don't seem to be supporting you or going your way but you mustn't give up.

You are caring for your mother's cousin which is good of you so I wouldn't want to discourage you from that yet it doesn't appear the best thing for you.

Well there's going to be/is lots for you to do. The danger might be quietly giving up. This answer is about rousing yourself with energy to go forward. It's also about taking heart not losing heart, giving yourself a pep talk, telling yourself 'all is not lost no matter these quakes around me I still have things I need and want to do'.

This is a yes/no question which many say aren't easy to interpret as Yi doesn't answer with a 'yes' or a 'no' and they're right to a point. I think here, given you had 27 3 times here in all answers 27 has appeared we are looking at what you NEED. That's your focus in all this WHAT YOU NEED


I think you've had a really dynamic answer with 1>27 and also with 51.5. Seems overall, taking all answers into account and noting you got 27 three times here

....You have to go and get what you need in a fairly dynamic way (1>27), like an adventurer. You cannot lose heart or have feelings of despair, you have to feel the warmth of vigour in you (51.5) you have to go towards your highest ideals for your life (17.5)...you have to take the initiative, no one is guiding you (27.1). No one is guiding you but hexagram 1, the Creative is carrying you, supporting your forward moves and purposes. Where there is hexagram there is Creative Purpose moving forward.

So should you stay in Cagua for good...well if 23.1 was about Cagua then no....but 27.6 is putting it straight back to you, it is your decision, you are making your life. The 1>27 is a very good answer for leaving.

I noticed as well that most of the answers go to hexagram 27. When I asked "if staying here would help me improve my situation?" I was reffering to my mother's cousin's place.

I understand that the anwser is a plain no, eventhough Yi doesn't reply with yes/no anwsers. Yet, besides the line, the text of the line also says: "...the situation bodes disaster, yet, there is nothing else to do but wait..." I resonate with this because, I undestand that, even if it is true that I won't be able to improve my situation here, going back right now may not help either. Hex 23.1 going to 27.1 also tells me that I kinda known the anwser but perhaps I am waiting for some kind of outer confirmation, not believing in myself.

This is right. My mother's cousin is a complicated person, and, instead of having a wide field to work, I am occupied doing house labors (I am not againts this, as it is the least I can do in exchange for being able to stay and have food) I just think that we could just work out a way in which I can work on other things and without stoping the help in the house.

On the other hand, my house is empty (with no persons) in another state which is dangerous in Venezuela, as, tomorrow, I may find that my house is no longer my house, or find it empty in other ways that doesn't include persons.

Well, from long ago I wanted to work teaching languages, and, I have done it somehow, but, things have not been as I expected. I need to create somekind of online presence/propaganda, but, I haven't been able to do so being here. I have also united this with graphic design and music, which, are, by the time being the three things I like besides a good bath on the beach that I would follow at any moment.

In order for this to happen I would have to either: stop working on online teaching by the time being and dedicate to something else, or, try to sell something/get the money to invest there and continue with what I am doing here. Or both. But, definetly, I would have to change the way I nourish myself, as the limitations won't let me do what I want.

By the way, I spoke with the sisters of my mother's cousin, and they, requested me to stay, at least, for december. I will be travelling tomorrow or Friday and coming back on Monday, I will see what I can advance there.
