Quiting my job - Hexagram 15

¡Hi everybody! My name is Gabriel. I'm 28 years old and i'm from Argentina.

First of all thank you so much for your precious time. I really appreciate it

I've had a night shift job for more than four years. I'm still working here.

At the same time, at the last two years, i have completed a training to be a copywriter (it is a digital profession). I have done some work, but I could not dedicate as much time as I would have liked.

I have been thinking too much about quitting my job and dedicating myself completely to my profession. I've saved some funds to have just in case.

Of all the positive changes that I've implemented in my life, stopping working nights would be the last and most important.

I answered to i ching: "Is it a good time to quit my job and start copywriting?" (in August)

I got hexagram 15 with no mutations.

I think it's positive. I have read a lot on the internet and I know that it refers more to being realistic, than humble, even i went here: https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/index.php?threads/job-question-63-1-5-15.25404/ and found a similar answer.

On the other hand, i'm not sure if i have to wait a little bit more (maybe to save more founds, in "bad" cases).

A fact that I found very curious:

I got the number eight four times. 8 means the number of august, month in which I plan to quit. I feel like that wants to tell me something.

I would be grateful if you could enlighten me a little more about it.

Hi Gabriel,

I'd agree with your take on that reading, it sounds to me like an encouragement:
" The superior man carries things through."
It might mean, You have been thinking about quitting the night job, now go ahead and do it.

Since Hex 15 is also called "Modesty" I suspect that, at least in the beginning you will have to accept a decrease in income and a more modest lifestyle. But according to the reading this is not a mistake.
It is on the contrary, about balancing things out. You may have less inclome, but more happiness and fulfilment (and better sleep)

Are there other things about your prfessional your life that you consider to be too much or too little? This might refer to these things as well, try and achieve a healthy balance (worklife-balance?)

As for throwing Hex 8 I do not see a connection for your current question - for one thing, this particular reading was Hex 15 UC, not 8, and I personally do not think that Hex 8 means August, its message is quite different. So I personally would not base anything on that!
