Reading 64,1,4>41

Hello people,
This is my first post. Ive been looking for guidance on the readings I do at home. This was the most recent reading, and as I've looked at various interpretations, this reading seems less clear, now. So I decided to put it out there for the community to look at.

Changing line 1 speaks of momentary setbacks;
Changing line 4 speaks of digging in and giving it everything;

The way I understand the continuity of the lines is from bottom to top, so line 1 happens first with a setback of sorts. It is possible this has already happened.
Line 4 may come into play this week. There could be a big push to get some things done.

On the whole, what I am seeing with this reading is;
there has been a time of near completion in my life regarding something important, and there looks like a snag that gets hit, and after that I may see the opportunity to really get after whatever needs to be done. This was a general reading asking what the Yi would have me know about the month ahead.

I've read my book on this and I am curious what other books you use that are likely more helpful. I learned something about the author of the one I have been using and it put me off a bit. I still use it, take what it says as a good start, then look online for other interpretations on my readings.

A question to an oracle is always set in a context, a situation you find yourself in.

This was a general reading asking what the Yi would have me know about the month ahead.

You ask a very general question here (which in itself is nothing wrong with) without providing any context on the forum. That makes that an interpretation cannot but be very general and effectively applicable to any situation in your life.

In H64, everything is yet to begin. In H63, there is order and everything is predictable, there is balance. In H64, everything is still uncertain. All the elements for success are there, but it all has yet to find its proper place. Every step taken here produces a result, but what the result is remains to be seen.
Hence the Image text says:

The text of the 1st line refers to the fox from the Judgement text.

He gets his tail wet.
Humiliation.

His tail getting wet means he has been careless in crossing the river. Good preparation and timing are essential before embarking on anything big (crossing the river) and extreme precision is also required in execution because otherwise the result may be different from what is desired.

The first position is about beginnings, plans, ideas.
A moving yin line at this position in trigram Water says: a conscious choice must be made to make a new beginning, to start something new. Water here is also the uncertain and fears.
Trigram Lake (lower trigram H41) advises being relaxed, seeing the positive, interacting with others.
The exchanges of ideas and emotions with others.

The upper trigram Fire in H64 generates Mountain through the moving line at the 4th position.
Fire here is too attached to its own truth and wants to act on that truth. Mountain's advice is to set limits to this, to stop it.
The combination Fire - Mountain shows the importance of working on the essence of things (Water's own insecurities and fears)
The text of the 4th line says:

Perseverance brings good fortune.
Regrets vanish.
Like thunder he attacks the Demon Territory.
In three years, great realms are awarded.

Attacking the Demon Territory is about steadfastness and joining one's forces in changing that which is incorrect.
The 3 years spoken of refers to the 3 lines of the trigram: a cycle. This may indicate that things will take some time.

The advice in the Image of H41 is to control anger and restrain desires. H41 is Mountain over Lake. Lake. Lake is about one's own opinion and Mountain is the limit, the lid.
So H41 here asks you to keep your opinions to yourself when interacting with others (which is different from sharing your ideas/plans and emotions).

As mentioned earlier, this is a very general interpretation of the answer. Translate to your own circumstances where appropriate.
Very generally, the advice seems to be to work on yourself in the coming month.

This would be my interpretation. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest

'Not Yet Fulfilled' through 'Decreasing'

From your post I get a general impression that recent events have not been going totally in your favour.
You could view your general situation now as being the start of a new phase, particularly with regards to you diminishing your involvement with someone or something (41). You have become highly emotionally charged about this situation and Yi advocates that you take steps to free yourself from this 'obsession' by reflecting deeply on what it is you need to increase to bring matters more in balance.

There is a strong masculine energy influence residing alongside you that has been gradually becoming more and more exhausted. 64 asks that you create strong boundaries and find a safe place to keep each aspect of your life; in so doing regaining the power you have lost to this external influence. Then, and only then, can you make a decisive new move. Until you do, you are just going to keep on soaking your tail and going around in circles when you try something.

64.1 - You may not have the full picture yet or only have a foggy idea at the moment. When the time comes you need to have gained a clearer vision and be confident that you can cross the river. Setting out in haste will not help. Until then just paddle by the river bank accepting the discomfort you feel wading in those shallow waters.

64.4 - Soon the setback you are experiencing will be negated and you'll manage to see things in a new light. Then you can start slowly crossing the river and finding the new road that you are looking for.

Much appreciated Hans! The general nature of this casting has a specific root, and this has been a really helpful experiment to put the reading out in public, accept others interpretation of the reading, and watch the current events unfold. Most of this is lining up with my work life, so the uncertainty is now giving way to clarity. More is being revealed and I'm grateful for your input.

Thank you my_key for your interpretation, this has been very helpful and I am watching how events unfold with an acceptance about the possible directions that may be on the way. Most of what I see is positive, and I appreciate your point of view.
