Realationship question. 63,9

I'm awaiting my first book "I Ching Plain and Simple", but I borrowed a friends copy of "the complete I Ching", but I'm not quite sure how to interpret using this more advance book.

My question was, what if I got back together with my ex?

I'm kinda stuck with my own personal feelings regarding this subject as I seem to be split down the middle either way, so I'm hoping I Ching can give me some insight.

Any ideas?

Here's a few ideas

63 - Things have already come to a completion. If you change the equilibrium now be sure to guard yourself against misfortune This may seem a good idea in the beginning but it may not work out for you in teh long term.
2 - Don't chase after this matter. Sit tight and things will sort themselves out.
6 - Keep moving forward to avoid danger.

63. After Completion
Success in small matters.
Perseverance furthers.
At the beginning good fortune,
At the end disorder.

Hmmmm. "Success in small matters" sounds like there is the potential for some friendly feeling, but "At the beginning good fortune, at the end disorder" sounds like after getting back together you may find you aren't wanting to go too far with it. Or is IC saying the split up got off to a good start and it's the split up that is in disorder?

The Image says, "The superior man takes thought of misfortune and arms himself against it in advance." Sounds like you know what the issues are between the two of you and there is a need to know how to avoid these pitfalls if they show up again.

Line two says do not chase after him. Value yourself and he or someone who does value you will appear.
Line six cautions about being stuck looking at the past and guides you to focus on where you are heading now.

Doesn't seem to point to major change, rebirth, or even happiness. Seems to say you'll still be you, but now you'll have this person standing next to you. Do you make a cute couple?

Hex 63.2,6 This quite clearly warns you not to go running after him to start with and the final line says forget the past and him and only move forward with your life, because if you return to him then you can expect lots of trouble.

Hi Renaldoaoa,
I think the reading is telling you to have courage. Don't chase after anything (63.2), and don't look back or you'll drown in the memories and won't be able to think straight (63.6). Through taking small steps, you'll eventually understand (9).
